tried cleaning the build up in the wheel opening moldings, lots of dirt and sand caked
this piece broke the plastic and came out
does somebody know a part # for the piece that snaps into so you can screw it back on? i most likely have to order a whole bunch of them due to old plastic breaking
looked around with some key word searching but is a hard piece to find out there

Discovered a trail near my house that I thought was closed all these years, turns out you just needed to drop by the Ranger station and get the code for the gate lock

Just a fire road that goes for 25 miles across the mountains behind our town, nothing technical but still nice to know it's nearby for a quick dirt fix. Also good opportunity to get a couple photos of the new bumper and skid

Scored an A.R.E. Truck cap for $100 on Facebook Marketplace today! Should I paint match it or go black?

Paint to match. Mystic Purple is a pretty rare color, may as well make the cap look great on it.

Agreed. I saw a Mystic Purple today in Boulder, Colorado and I almost tweaked my neck when I turned my head so quickly to look at it.

Looks good. You should also scuff up that grille with a medium/fine sanding block and get some of the plastic primer to help it adhere. It should be hotter than an average primer so that it bites into the plastic. Average spray paint primer adheres mechanically but you really want something that will bond to the plastic and sort of “melt” into it.

Yeah lol I really need to redo that. One of the first things I ever did to the truck when I got it almost 4 years ago was plastidip the chrome, I don't regret it as I dislike chrome personally...but I really do need to remove it and do a proper job. I'm surprised the rest of it has lasted this long.

Did my annual oil change lol, it's my weekend warrior so I don't drive it much. Once that was done I sprayed some fluid film in anticipation of the oncoming snow storm. While I was doing that I noticed my passenger outer tie rod boot was split, so what I'm wanting to ask is should I change the inner one out when I do the outer one or just leave it be. Thanks for your input.

The projectors fit perfectly without the glass lens touching the projector with some added help.
