I'm looking at purchasing a Diamondback SE cover and will eventually want to mount a bedrack system as well. I like the idea of having a bedrack that would be easily removable (i plan to have a pulley system to lift and store the bedrack and rooftop tent in my garage) that would play nice with the Diamondback cover. I have seen examples of people mounting their bedracks to their diamondback cover. I was wondering what other options are out there of which y'all are aware.

    Cheers.

KB Voodoo MAX Modular Bed Rack Tonneau Brackets is an option. I went with FrontRuner components mounted to my Diamondback for my RTT. Similar to what Canadian Prepper and Last Line of Defense has on their trucks. The legs and bars attached to the RTT are easy enough to remove leaving only the tracks on the cover, but it is not quick.

Did you use the FrontRunner quick mounts? I'm thinking about replacing my Camper Shell with a Diamondback and would like to mount the RTT to the DB Cover.

I did not use the quick mounts. I used two load bars that are 1425mm (56") Long, two pairs of legs that are 152mm (6") Tall, and tracks that are 1400mm (55") long. The RTT tent mounts with bars and bolts to the load bars, for a total of 8 nuts that need to be tightened or removed. The legs attach to the load bars, a total of 8 more nuts. The the legs are attached to the tracks with a total of 16 screws.

I've been researching this since I got my diamondback a few months ago. Best options I've found are:
    1) KB Voodoo racks with tonneau brackets
    2) frontrunner hardware and racks (like LLOD and others mentioned)
    3) custom rack

I would say the easiest is option 1, and you might get to open the DB a few inches. 2 has the most versatility but you probably want the HD version because the weight will be directly on the tonneau. 3 could be less or more expensive, but you will probably get something tailored to your needs.

OP I am also in the same boat although I'm looking at getting the Diamondback HD. I like the KB Voodoo high rise brackets since they can be installed/uninstalled as easily as the Diamondback itself and can hold a RTT. It's simple but doesn't have crazy side bar options like full bed racks. I like the fact that it can be easily disassembled as the Taco is my daily driver as well. They have a full rack version as well which can mount on the tonneau cover brackets but I'm not sure about that one.

This may not apply to you but for me I'm also trying to figure out how to mount a RTT and kayak simultaneously over the bed of the truck. So I've been considering the KB Voodo high rise brackets and potentially the Diamondback cover mount racks even though I find them hideously unattractive.

What ever mounts I use I’d like to attach directly to DB cover, so I can remove RTT and cover and then just have a clean open bed. I have a lift in my garage to easily remove RTT, that’s why I was considering the quick release mounts. I love my shell but it makes the truck too tall to DD now that the RTT is up there. And I can’t get it in the garage to easily access the lift for removal.

That may actually be the way I go but I'm thinking I'll use the shorter tracks so the covers still fold. Do you have any pictures of your setup?

You cut the tracks to the size you want. I have four sections of track, two on the front panel and two on the rear panel.
