    Nooo.
    noooo.
    sorry,
    Let me revise that,

Glass is NOT touched. Glass comes smooth with no ridges.

The metal bucket needs to have some grinding and washers grinding, a shower flange grinding, etc.

No, these are optical clear glass lens with thick aluminum buckets.
Most people use the plastic buckets and plastic lens that yellow.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    That mud was no joke.

We stopped at a self serve car wash, on the way home, to wash off our wheels. Our trucks were shaking to the point of almost undrivable at 45 from out of balance. The car wash helped enough that we could drive home (3.5 hours)... But this is what came of just the wheels and around the CVs this morning.

The mud was so sticky it stuck to my CV boot and twisted the shit out of it.
    20191215_112304.jpg

But props to Offroad Solutions inner boots... I was able to untwist it, not a rip, tear, hole... nothing.

These glass lens have zero patterns on the front.
They are actually optically perfectly clear.
This is what one wants when running HID retrofit kits.
The light will now come out of the projector going straight forward so the reflector back side is not part of the equation now

Ah man that's horrible mud, but the cv boot twisting up and still being good after straightening it out is pretty damn sweet though

Well I hit 300k miles and the truck basically decided to say "F--- you!" Started to randomly overheat every now and then so I changed the thermostat and flushed the coolant. Then I decided I would treat her to some Fluid Film before the snow came in last night. Then I rotated her tires. All seemed well last night and this morning, well up until I was getting onto the highway... The truck felt like it was hopping but would only do it between 60-70 MPH when I would "mash" the throttle. I ordered a new fuel filter since I don't know if it has ever been done, regardless it was driving perfectly fine up until the tire rotation. So now I am sitting here wondering if the spare tire wear being less than the other three that it is causing some sort of binding issue. I mean we are talking 1-3mm here so I highly doubt it. I keep checking to see if it is misfiring when put it under load but I am not getting a CEL for it. I am a complete lose with this thing.

Got a new-to-me frame out of AZ to replace the 80% gone MN frame. It'll be a decent summer project. What do you guys think for reinforcements while it's bare, before swapping junk over?

    • Coil buckets? Double shear or just double plated?
    • Cam tab gussets
    • Boxing rear c-channel
    • Plating front frame
    • Gusseting cab mounts
    • Xmember in the back half somewhere.

Have you hooked up a code reader? Might have a pending code that just hasn't tripped the CEL just yet

I'll just duct tape it to the hood....

    (check your text)

No bumper yet; I need to steal Miguel's or just bite the bullet and order one...

Uh...free? Got a bit lucky. My work was shipping some equipment from Phoenix up to MN and they got a full 53' trailer with most of it empty. So I just bought the frame and had them stop by the junk yard to pick it up.

I assumed it would've been in the $800 range. (so doubling the cost of a frame)

I will again tonight. I have the scanguage hooked up and have been clearing the P0141 code that I ususally have to see if anything else pops in but nothing has quite yet. Its odd though because it is only doing it under load at highway speeds. Around town it is fine.
