    Haltech did finally upgrade to an 4.9 can wideband. Must of did that over the last year. That is cool. I love my 4.9 sensor.

    If the head mating surfaces and cam/crank journals look good, it's worth looking into depending on cost.

    No metal shavings when i dumped the oil so i have a feeling the crank and block will be good. Anyways motor is out all the shitty stuff is done. Tomorrow I’ll throw new gaskets and on and then Monday should have new idlers and a waterpump to put on 3C6A87B6-7B31-45FD-9DE7-CC8EAC9D3069.jpg

    06 2.7 RC 2wd manual "squattytruck"
    So I just got given a spare 2tr engine with no compression in cylinder one. The current 2tr in my truck needs a rebuild as it's consuming oil, and I'm looking into rebuilding/prepping this free engine for a turbo.

    I plan on doing arp studs, mls gasket, and balance shaft delete with the new timing components. I'll also clean up the ports and anything else I can. Are there any other big things I should consider or plan on doing for turbo prep? I'm going to do a light hone on the cylinders and gapped rings along with some forged pistons.

    Do you guys know what oil pressure the 2tr should roughly have? I installed the ic-7 dash and a new sensor, seems to be higher than what i thought itd be.
    Although the engine has 15w-40 in it, so a bit thicker
