Any recommendations on taillights

Long story short, woke up today to find one of my taillights busted. Vandalism?? Idk but thinking of getting new ones but not factory ones. Not sure where to start looking. Any recommendations? 2008 double cab.

I see a lot of people run these. I want some too but idk I kind of like my stock 2010 ones.

I'm running these but you don't have to buy them from this place(just google search them), they're all coming from the same manufacturer. There is a smoked lense version as well. The only drawback I've really had is the reverse light reflector isn't the greatest but I also have extra rear lights if I need more lumens.

I have these and was in the same situation as you. I tried my damndest to find an OEM replacement for the drivers side on the cheap. But the cost of that was the same as this aftermarket pair and I liked the look.
So far I like them. My only gripe is they combine stop light and turn signal duties, as opposed to OEM that has dedicated turn signals.
No issues with fading, cracking, leaking or operation after about 8 months.

I got the vipmoto ruby red neon non tinted, it's a nice light.

In your opinion, does the light ever look pink to you? Some people say in the reviews it's pink but when I see them on the street, they look red like in the pics. Well at least the brake/signal looks red.

 

I can see where they’re getting that from. The running lights are the white part, and if it’s not completely dark they can look a little pink. But the darker it gets the better they look. I’ll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow morning before I hop in to go to work.

 

^ Overpriced but can they be used w/o the tailgate extensions?

Here's a couple pics from when I installed mine. I agree that the reverse light reflector sucks, I just ride the brake backing up and the red is way brighter than the reverse.

 

These are nice and what I was thinking about initially, but since I have a black truck, I went with the smoked ones from Tacoma Beast. They look better on the black IMO.







I got VLEDS reverse lights since I figured that the smoked housing would be too dark for the reverse lights to show...works great

 

I like them on your truck, Your right they blend in well with black truck. On my truck I think they would look to ricey.

I have the black (not smoke) OEM style that a few others have posted. I love them. The stock taillights are already badass in my opinion so I didn’t really want an aftermarket look, I just wanted them to be black. They function and look the exact same as the factory lights, but they are an aftermarket brand I’m pretty sure.

 

Installed these today, they seem to be better quality than what I expected

 

Anyone ever swap brighter led reverse bulbs on these Amazon lights?

 

Alziria on Amazon set for $70 look and work well.
