The castle nut being left on does work and not just when hammering which I would never do (why beat the hell out of your components with a BFH?) - again, whatever works best for the individual. Definitely blue threadlocker and a paint pen to mark for visual reference. All personal preference. Cheers.

I can post it sec. The tech who didn't know manual decided to try out my truck pulling it out after rotation and balancing. He put it into 1st and didn't realize he'd continue to roll backwards unless he gave it gas or held on the brake, and hit another car parked behind him. I already had scuffs n dings on the bumper, but the manager didn't question me and said they would take full responsibility for it.

something like that happened to me at DT

i was getting the tires rotated and was hanging outside around the corner of the garage keeping an eye out on the truck
saw a young tech come out and open the door and hop in. then he got back out and had some other tech come out to start it and drive it in
i suppose that 1st tech did not know the MT either lol
they would hate to screw my bumper as i believe it costs more than $700

 

That's cheap. Try buying a mint 1967 anything for less than 13k.

I’d add more oil, turn it on let it get to temp and start checking for the leak. Is that the 4 cylinder?

Ehhhh I'd say more around 250 for the bumper. Insurance and body shops will quote u 700 but that's their quote. I'd rather a dent in my bumper versus someone out there burning my clutch up tho
