So I got my frame replaced under the recall and it's been wonderful, but they didn't replace my tow package! Its pretty darn rusted, to the point that I feel like I shouldn't max out the towing capacity. Has anybody gotten their tow package replaced under the warranty? If not, about how much effort/money would it be to pop a new one in myself (OEM ideally).
    Thanks yall, happy holidays

It should be straight forward. Never taken one off a Tacoma but off of siennas. Since the frame was just replaced the bolts should be new and free. Often hitches look way worse than they are. You should be able to find a new one from Reece or Curt easily to replace yours if you don’t feel it’s safe

When I bought mine it had a new hitch on it,don't know who did the frame recall or if they replaced the hitch but numerous other parts were replaced underneath as well.

The bumper support is what you need to worry about for your towing package. They rust out easily.
