    Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
    Getting an ECU from here to you ain’t a big deal. Shoot me your specs, year, trans. I gotta pick up a spare ECU for myself as well anyway.

    I've got them somewhere already. Can buy replacements from Toyota.

    Yeah I'm actually doing all that in a spreadsheet with connector part numbers right now.

    Ok, going through the factory Tacoma wiring diagrams. Looking at the 2010 one linked earlier, Apparently Pin J3 (connector E14, pin 3) is shown to be used for both FPR and ST1-. Same goes for Pin J3, used for both EPA and FC. I think someone at Toyota made a boo boo.:annoyed:

    Maybe an 09 pinout might show a difference, or does that pinout range from 09-11?

    The 05-08 will be slightly different than the 09-11. One member did a resolder job, to be able to use the UCON on an 09+ before the plugs 09 plugs were available. He documented everything.

    This is for 2012+ which should only have the addition of the SAIS stuff over the 09-11 connectors. Looks like

    FPR = J8
    ST1 = I8
    EPA = J3
    FC = I3

    Hopefully it’ll be released soon. I want to get out 4Runner tuned and since I already have hpt for the taco we will just need to buy credits when it’s released.

    I'm running a beta tune from Matt @OVT now but he is busy with other things to concentrate on the 4R. Always in for options.

    We've actually been working further in the 4R ecu, but have come up with several limitations.
    a lot of the calibration tables simply aren't in there. The transmission tables, torque control tables, torque converter, etc.
    it all must be in a separate TCU that we cannot access.
    We're limited to throttle, cams, ignition, fuel, etc only "engine" stuff.

    :(

    Thats surprising considering it utilizes the same 5 spd auto as the 2nd gen tacos.
