Sounds reasonable. Mid size trucks have load requirements that almost over lap with minivans and their derivatives. I think they decided that the Taco people wouldn’t mind as long they addressed the economy issue. Given the sales, it’s not unreasonable.

Nice. I'm working on a B4200 right now, just over 500 hours on it. I tried buying a ratted out B1550 Saturday, but I think I just missed out. I'm still waiting to hear back for sure.

I'm not much of a woodworker, not on your level anyways. I just make junk like tables and shelves lol.

I hear you. You have a box grader. I live on a dirt road and grade and rake it with my Kubota. It’s my second Kubota in 25 years. They are more reliable then a Toyota.

It’s the same engine as the 7GR-FKS which is used in the J150 series Land Cruiser Prado (over 5,000 lbs) and H300 series HiAce, which while not strictly speaking a truck, does weigh in at over 5,600 lbs.

Me too. It was made in Canada. This is a summer pic of my L3400 hst towing one of my boats up from my shore frontage on the lake where I launch it. I could not survive without it. Neither could my neighbors.

Yah... sometimes I wish I had of bought an L series too. But then it would be getting a little heavy for me to cart around.

Nothing I love more than watching people debate which of the two underpowered milquetoast lumps Toyota has stuffed in the Tacoma argue about which one is better.

I can't wait for the 22R fanboys to chime in.....

It will be like the special olympics of truck motors.

Not a good pic but I’m blowing snow in the road. We had two feet of the wet heavy stuff that my neighbor couldn’t plow easily.

The Ls are the best size. I tried out an M series. It was fine for our road but could not fit on my shore. It weighs the same as a Taco so I can still tow it with neighbors 3/4 ton.

I luv the B series too. But I have three miles of road to do on our association and the heated cab is more comfy.

Exactly. It’s the, “ Whose the biggest fish in the small pond.” Debate.

    I had a 22R.

If you pressed the gas pedal going downhill with the wind at your back it would lose momentum. I thought it was a pathetically underpowered sick dog of a motor. The truck itself was a piece of shit as well.

    Then I joined Tacoma World......

Now that I have been properly re-educated by a pack of idiots who have never owned one and who don't own a third gen, I realize that the 22R was one of the finest motors ever put in a truck and that those early Toyota pickup trucks were superior in every way to the 3rd gens currently polluting our highway.

Likewise I hated the 4.0 in my wife's 4runner until a bunch of 1GR-FE fanboys convinced me that because it was Toyotas pathetic, underpowered and gutless attempt at a TRUCK motor.... that it is superior to the 3rd gen Tacoma.

All hail the awesome power of TW to convince people that the turd floating in the punch bowl was purposefully designed to be there!

Here's what I currently am working on. It's a good size for what I do, but am looking for a bigger one. I'm going to build a FEL and a box blade is on my radar as well.

So far I haven't done much other than get Ag tires for it and basic fluids. It hasn't needed anything else really, it runs amazing.
