Isn’t butter milk falls a nice trail, and you can get a pic flexed in the waterfall?

I need to venture out with some of you all. Anyone in South Jersey want to show me some trails? I'm not from around these parts.

They usually shut that road down for winter so they don’t need to maintain it. And no that activity is reserved for the doosh bag “woodhounds”

lmao this is too good. My buddy started that group, with good intentions. I showed up to the early meets, but I stopped associating myself entirely because it eventually turned into a Jeep social group with a very small minority who actually wheels. Now they're pretty insufferable with all their "spotted such and such at work" and other such dumb crap that has no place in what is supposed to be an offroad group.

Exactly. More about status and social media. Getting too roped into the looks of the scene and not actually having interest in what the scene is about.

100%. Never wanted to be in a car club, just wanted to get out and do epic shit. Sad it’s rare and most just wanna meet in parking lots and talk gear.

I mean I get the meet up thing. But only from time to time, when there's no action going on. Not doing it most of the time and maybe have some fun once in a blue moon. Like you said, car clubs don't interest me.

eh been alright, I guess. As for the truck, in recent times just issues mostly. Leaf spring broke at the eyelet from just daily driving. No idea about that. Thanks AP for nothing. Replaced with Dakars and lift shackles, which is not only a better ride but puts the rear at a better height for the shocks. So that set me back, having to replace. IMG_20190307_082720901_HDR.jpg Frame being the biggest issue now. Gonna need to do repairs on it, once I get the funds. Doing it before the winter was ideal but couldn't swing it. This is just a screenshot of a video where I'm flexing it by hand.Screenshot_20191215-024359.jpg On a brighter note, I'm on 33s now. Ride nicely, I must say.IMG_20190819_080057980_HDR.jpg

    That’s some rough frame damage...

I just actually got a letter for inspection of my 2013 frame within the next two years..

Probably will need to safe t cap it right? Or just frame swap like @Lux and @Sofatank.

Yeah the damage accelerated very quickly over last Winter especially. Wasn't great prior, but afterward, it was a marked difference.

Man, how I wish the 1st gen had a recall and not that voluntary safety campaign BS. The original owner didn't have it inspected, so I am SOL there.

Saf-T-Cap is the plan. There are some other not-the-greatest areas farther up the frame, but nothing even remotely like it is near the back. Obviously, I'm not thrilled about having to cut up and patch the frame, but the Winters recently have outdone my bi-annual frame coatings and annual fluid film/internal coatings =/

Frame swap would be optimal if you have another daily, but its a big mess and you'll need to source a beater to get a frame from which isn't easy (especially the unicorn we found), its nearly impossible to find the frame alone around here. but those safetcaps seem interesting. I think when my frame inevitably bites the dust one day Ill just jump right to a frame swap, if you break it down its honestly not that bad.

How long did you have that leaf pack sente?

I would love to just switch over to a healthy frame, but that's not feasible for me really. First off, like you mentioned, ya gotta have another daily. I do not. Also, I live in an apartment complex now and so I can't have 2 disassembled trucks sitting in the parking lot. While the caps aren't ideal, compared to a frame that doesn't also have other wear, if they can take care of the worst parts, the rest is on frame walls earlier on the frame. They should be able to be taken care of with just flat steel, should the need arise.

Had them about 15 months, so I was out of the warranty by 3 months. But I figured I'd contact AP anyway, since it seemed more like a defect than anything else. I contacted via 2 different avenues but neither got any response at all.

We're going to meet at pic I think and then head out from there. We usually end up around Egg Harbor at the end..I haven't been there since last year though.
