Looks like a hard day of mod’ing... you deserve a couple beers!

 

Picked up a Christmas tree and listed this truck for sale... going to pick up a new manual once this sells!

The more times gone by the happier I am that I kept the charcoal/metallic stock offorad grille. The cheese grater is awesome. Even the chrome bezel looks great on my cement.

And from yet another geezer...are the connectors on the back the same as stock? I have the front camera harness and want to keep it.

 

I put on door sill protectors. I must drag my feet when I’m getting in and out. I keep getting these black scuffs and it shows up on the Cement paint. Got them from Amazon for about $20.


Also my Cerwin Vega amp/subwoofer comb quit working. Checked the fuse on the unit and under the hood. They are good. Tested the voltage to the amp and it’s getting 12.9v but the amp isn’t powering up. Called Sonic Electronix and they said to do a return notice online and they would send a new one. Kind of surprised it would be that easy. Just have to send the old one back.

 

Just installed a padded rest for left knee on driver side door. Works great and matches the interior.

Replaced my stock tweeters with Subaru tweeters, wow what a difference!

 

Just got in today!

 

Installed some new kicker 3way 6x9 speakers last night,was way easier that I thought! Doing the tweeters next with the kicker Subaru tweeters. Crutchfield included the adapters so everything with the 6x9 set was plug n play.

 

Tonight's install....aFe Momentum GT intake...I know, I know....no HP gain. Lol. That's ok. Love the look, love the sound. Still have the scoop to install, but that'll be tomorrow.

Still on austerity after buying the truck and need the seatbacks protected from the navigation crew. I like these because of the clips and hooks.

Nice. What model Kicker 6x9’s did you go with? I’ve been procrastinating doing this.

 

Took the truck on an impromptu trip down to the coast for the weekend. My lovely lady decided that my parking job was perfect for a Tacoma photo shoot (I know, I know - she’s a keeper).


I also added a Garmin Mini dash cam that is hard wired to the rear view mirror. It’s a slick little unit, I really enjoy that it has no screen and you really can’t see it from the drivers seat. I’ll clean up the wiring next time I get the itch to mod.
