    A thing or two...
It was fairly warm, yesterday, so I cleaned the pool and added a bunch of chemicals to start balancing out the water.

Also, started loading up the shelves in the shop to clear off the work benches.

What’s the typical price for concrete per square foot? I know it’s typically measured by the yard. From what I’ve found on the internet it’s about $6.50/square foot. I’m wanting to have a yard barn removed and a small building built. The building would be 12x16 with a covered 12x12 pad behind it.

Give this site a try, I’ve found its “pretty” close for pricing. Just update the zip code and sq ft

our latest code revision for 2018 had a bunch of new requirements for stairs and railings so I've been over that section pretty thoroughly in the last couple days haha

That’s what I’m wondering also! The previous owners vaulted the ceiling right underneath that area in the living room, so I’m thinking it had something to do w that. Hoping to pull them up this week to replace, & see what’s down there!

here in the sticks of Ga the cost of the actual concrete is about $125 a cubic yard. I build houses and figure that it costs me just over $3 a Sq ft for a 4 inch thick slab (concrete + labor) but when you add footers for buildings the cost on a per Sq ft would go up quite a bit. Also labor rates by area vary greatly

well since I just has mine done I will post the price. It was 340 square feet. They manually dug out 2 to 3 inches of dirt for the area. They will haul out the extra dirt that is in the driveway today. A couple of sprinklers were moved to accommodate the change. They also cut up and moved the base of the old shed plus other stuff that was stored there.

I also asked them to remove a whole lot of stuff that was just taking up space. Basically 3 pickup beds worth.

Total cost was $2400 for the 3" concrete pour with rebar and $250 to haul away the trash.

For the SoCal area that is as cheap as it gets with great quality as well.

Thanks! I'm starting to second guess having a 28' pad (though it would be nice), maybe just go with a 12'x16' and build the building.

I’m saving to have my front yard graded and my gravel driveway turned to concrete. Even with a good friend doing all of the work.............. I could damn near buy another Taco. My driveway is loooooooong.

Ours was towards the top of our list until we got a 30k estimate. We need to get other estimates but wanted a starting point when we bought the place a few years ago.

"Think it’s doug fir flooring & looks to be in pretty rough shape. Also some spots where plywood has been patched in. Looks like a fair amount of prep & then finding some similar flooring to replace the plywood patches. Anyone have any thoughts on refinishing/repairing the wood floor vs covering w new carpet?? Ideally I’d like to restore the wood..."

If you have any closets that have the same flooring, you could rip some of the floor out to use in place of the patch. Then replace flooring in the closet with something that's a close match... knowing that the closet floor is secondary to the hallway you're trying to patch and won't be seen very much.
