Nice. What model Kicker 6x9’s did you go with? I’ve been procrastinating doing this.

Took the truck on an impromptu trip down to the coast for the weekend. My lovely lady decided that my parking job was perfect for a Tacoma photo shoot (I know, I know - she’s a keeper).

I also added a Garmin Mini dash cam that is hard wired to the rear view mirror. It’s a slick little unit, I really enjoy that it has no screen and you really can’t see it from the drivers seat. I’ll clean up the wiring next time I get the itch to mod.2623FF10-283C-4421-A337-C99A6C5F9F98.jpg

My 2017 access cab has the screws on the outside. I believe the double cab has the screws on the inside so you have to pull back the headliner.

I would be interested in knowing if there was any performance gain aside from it sounding cool. I'm looking at this being my next mod in the spring.

Kickers are not the only brand of speakers that sound good. I installed Infinity Reference series all around. Even replaced all the speakers in my commuter(Forte5). Very happy with the performance.

Same monitor placement as with the GoPro.

Ran it for a couple of days in my daily commute. Framerate at 25 fps will be passable as a trail cam when crawling in low range. The F-Car app has a button to record video to the phone if needed.

    Well guys,
This is what happened to me today. I did not do this but someone else in a recycle truck rammed my truck into my wife's Chevy Traverse. As mad as I was, I really felt bad for the guy. He pushed my truck forward about 20 feet.

Well, sometimes things just suck. My kids know how attached I am to my Tacoma's (This one being my 6th) that they have me on suicide watch. I said, guys, take it easy. It's not that big of a deal and no one was hurt.

What does suck is, when you go and trade this truck in for a newer one, they actually do, check into any accidents.

My RRW sliders showed up for my 2019 DCLB this evening. I tried not to look at the boxes, knowing I'd have to wait until Saturday to install, but I'm way to old to wait for Christmas... or even Saturday. I ordered these last September when RRW had a special on them. Total cost: $680 with discounts and a $15 dollar coupon plus $100 for shipping across the country from Cali to Baltimore. So $780 total. I'd call that a deal. Seriously, though, I have gotten in the habit of checking Tacomaworld everyday for deals and have come across several that have saved me money...that I will spend on other things for the truck.
