Got out again today. Lots and lots of snow on the trails still. Good sections to be found though. 30*, windy and overcast makes for some cold riding.

Yeah, kinda my thinking... just because I WANT it... doesnt mean I will be happy with it.

Need to spend some time with one.

I like the IDEA of the flexibility.....

The tools themselves, not so much an issue. Setting up the chain line, and rear derailleur...... no clue

Have any of you guys, or gals, done this ride. It is definitely on my bucket list. At age 57 I feel I should do this within the next couple years. I'd probably make a long road trip as I live in Pennsylvania. I have a Transition Patrol that I think would be a perfect bike for the ride.

    It's DLX son!
I did it this past October. It was amazing with the aspens and scrub oak in full fall colors up high, and then transitioning to the slick rock and eventually finishing down at the Colorado River. The trail had a great diversity of terrain and the ride was hands down the best time I've had on my bike this year.

I rode my ripmo, and it didn't feel like too much bike at all. My only mistake was I should have taken more food, it was an all day affair and I was hitting the wall by the end of the day.

I’m considering getting into a hard tail.........if I do, I’ll be selling my 2017 Kona Process 111 frame. It has maybe 50-60 miles on it, only ridden a few times. Still looks new. Rock shock monarch rear included.......would anyone be interested in this? I’ll give ya a deal.

Thanks, if I do the ride it will be an all day event for me as well. I'm surely not going to break any land speed records. To me it's all about the adventure and having a good time.

I flew out and rode SLC and Park City last summer; but, unfortunately, it was way too hot in early July to ride Moab. TWE is definitely still on my bucket list, so I'll probably hit it in the next few years. For those who have ridden TWE, specifically, what's the best week of the year to ensure the whole trail is open with decent weather?
