:( Just read that F/V Northwestern and F/V Time Bandit aren't going to be part of Deadliest Catch anymore. I understand why they've dropped out but got to say that I don't think I'll be watching the Catch anymore. It was going to be tough enough for someone to fill Capt. Phil's shoes but now to replace Sig and the Hillstrands too...not good!

What is it about that show that draws you in? They could not pay me enough to do that work, it just looks too cold and too dangerous.

To me Sig was the only one with decent commen sense.

Ehh, I was getting bored with them anyway. Time for some new blood. You can only watch the same guys do the same thing for so long. Plus, another season of Edgar's constant whining would have chased me away. And... these guys heads were getting way too big!!!

I'm hoping they sign on the F/V Hooters for next season to replace them.

As for the fued between them and Discovery, there are consequences to breaking a contract...

For me it was reality TV that was real. You knew the dangers that those guys faced. Just based on my time in AK and in the salmon fishing community up there I can understand and appreciate what a tough job these guys have as well.

I'm just wondering if there will even be another season. Crabbing starts next month - is there time to find more boats? Will faithful fans want to see new boats? Personally I think I'm done. Sig was my favorite and the Hillstrands were a close second. Not going to be the same without them!
