There’s a whole lot going on here. Tart cherries are dominant followed closely by spiced rum. A nice weekend cap.

Hit a little honey hole shop of mine that has a great selection of old shelfies, just to find out they are getting rid of most of their craft beer section.

Kinda sucks, but was able to get a buy one, get one free deal on these! Really been wanting to try the evil twin people are immune, but the $32 price tag had scared me off... But 2 for $32?!?! Yes please! And 2 BBA Ten Fidies for $11?!?!

Realized I haven’t posted a bunch of brews in here lately...

3 Notches BBA Biggie S’Mores stout - Sister brought this and a few others down from Richmond VA over Thanksgiving break. DAMN TASTY!

    2990FDCD-BABC-48DC-9A05-F23021C3148D.jpg

    01F71DB1-E1C9-4762-94DF-0221CEDA36E4.jpg

Goose Island Bourbon County Café de Olla stout - This was the only 2019 that we’re allowed in GA because of our dumb 14% ABV cap. Coffee, cassia bark, orange peel, and panela sugar. I know it’s big beer now, but I really enjoyed this one!

    2F66F175-60D8-4575-ABED-A7D9AA5FDF1F.jpg

Orpheus When All Goes Black My Shadow Seeks Me - Black Coconut stout with a name approaching Evil Twins offerings haha. Picked up a few for a trade buddy and tried one. Wasn’t super crazy about it. Little thin and didn’t get a whole lot of coconut.

    27D75656-DD4C-453F-A3A3-288548DD1DE5.jpg

Starr Hill Little Red Roostarr - Coffee cream stout from VA. Not a heavy, thick stout, but it did have a good coffee flavor.

    959B9C24-DD8D-4791-950B-C8DF2DBBE108.jpg

Steam Bell Tiramisu Stout - Rum conditioned vanilla stout. Another from my sister in VA. Really enjoyed this one. Not a overly sweet diabeetus bomb.

    4601B960-4D7C-41F7-BEBD-915CACEC04FA.jpg

Wild Leap Vanilla Ice Cream stout - Wild Leap has been killing the hazy ipas in GA lately, but their stouts have been hit/miss for me. This one was ok, but the vanilla tasted kinda artificial to me.

GF dragged me Christmas shopping last weekend and I agreed... As long as we could hit a brewery or two in between. We ended up going to Cherry Street Brewing for a flight and dinner Friday night and Monday Night Brewing for their Situational Ethics release on Saturday.

Cherry Street food was just ok, but had some great beers on tap and they were running a Black Friday bottle deal - 12 bottles for $100... Not like I needed anymore bottles for the “cellar”, but it was a deal too good to pass on haha! The BA Shutdown stout, Westside stout, and Cortez the Killer were all really great. Trading a few of the scotch ales and will be knocking back the others over the holidays!

Monday Night Situational Ethics is an annual release I always look forward to. They usually release 3 different variants every year. This year was the Mexican Hot Chocolate, Honey Apple Brandy, and the Praline Maple Cognac. I tried all 3 at the brewery and also made it through all of the previous years they had on tap... Thank god for 4 oz pours! I had high hopes for all 3 of this year’s, but the praline maple was def the highlight for me. The other 2 seemed thin compared to year’s past. Favorite of the day was the 2017 Maple Bourbon Barrel & Cinnamon variant... So damn good!

I had pre-ordered a bottle of all 3 of the 2019 release. And got a bottle of Overnight Celebrity (maple BBA imperial brown ale) and a 2018 Chocolate Sherry Situational Ethics.

My buddy went on a work trip a month ago and turned out he was right near tree house so he checked it out, not really knowing what it was. He brought me a hat once I told him what it was. He was mad they had such weird limits and such. He didn't have a checked bag so he couldn't bring anything but said he'd be back and would get some soon.

Well....it's soon. I'd say it loves up to the hype pretty well, but some local beers I've had are also nearly as good. Still...solid stuff.
