Been waiting a while for urd to restock their short throw shifter kits for the 4.0 anyone know if they will be restocking them soon if not ever? Any other options that work similar or anyone got one sitting around they’d let go?

I really like my TRD unit. It's a complete replacement versus add-on extended tip. Quality piece.

I agree with this 100%. The TRD replaces the whole stick, so you know its gonna stand the test of time. I read too many stories about the bottom piece snapping off on the URD shifter and leaving folks stranded. Go with OEM where you can especially on upgrades like this

Another TRD short shifter user here. I've run it for quite a few years and it really makes the truck more enjoyable to drive.

Replaced engine with an '07 FJ Cruiser motor. Clutch accumulator deleted. WIP. plan to add new exhaust, cold air intake, URD short throw shifter,
finally went on Underdog racing to order my short throw shifter, URD Short Throw Shifter 05-15 Tacoma $99.00 on sale rn.
and then also ordered a new TRD short throw shifter.

    I guess I don't need both?

Have had the TRD short throw shifter on mine since I got it, but it just came apart into two pieces last week. looks like the PO jerry rigged it cuz it was filled w/ electrical tape and shit.

Anyone know if it make sense to use any part of it along w/ the TRD short shifter? thanks
