Few dudes I knew instantly found themselves highly attracted to other men when they purchased a third gen Tacoma.

In your words, you look like a stupid ass just for bringing it up, then denying it.

My 2 g cab noise is really dependent upon the tires it’s wearing.

If you re-read the post, I specifically referenced your post - which I agreed with - and then stated that the rest of the post was a general statement and was not directed at you. Then I discussed how Ford Ranger fans constantly crash this joint and dick measure about 0-60 times.

So let me get this straight:

After agreeing with your statement on the Tacoma, excluding you from the comments that followed, and addressing Ranger owners as stupid asses, you thought that was an insult directed at you?

Here's the post in it's entirety:

Now if after reading that you still think I insulted you, we're probably better off putting each other on "ignore".

My son's 2012 has slightly bigger and more aggressive tires than my 2019. The 3rd gen definitely sounds louder to me.....

The “ you” seemed explicit at the time. But I’ll accept your explanation.

Yes. The third gen sounds tinnier.

It's hard to explain - there are some weird resonances you get from the 3rd gen that you don't seem to get in the second gen. Can't tell whether its soundproofing or the two drivetrains......

I'd recommend a bro hug but Lt. Dangle is very possessive and jealous of my interaction with other men.

Yes. I found the same thing with the Gen3. It seemed to have a hollow sound to it. Like the transmission was made from tin. (Not saying it is boys it just has a different sound)

Well, there’s not much sound proofing in the 2 g. I oil mine yearly for rust and and take off as much access hardware as possible. Don’t see much if any. Wife’s Toyota car and the 4 runner we had were a lot better insulated. She has a 3.5 and at idle, it’s Noisier when outside the car then the two same 4.0 engines we had for 15 years in the trucks.

that stinks. G2 has basically zero sound proofing. i'd much rather have that added than some of the other bells and whistles they put in.

16 or 17 are the years to buy IMO since it was before all the safety sense crap became standard. If you have a wireless charging phone, check to make sure the console charger works (if you care)... lots of them crap out on the 3rd gens according to this site and mine died at 25k. Deff get the manual transmission in the 3rd gen. I didn't like the reduced visibility out the front (bigger hood) on the 3rd gen compared to driving the 2nd gen but I've sort of gotten used to it.
