My commute was horrid this morning. Had to go around the sleeping dog hazards on the stairs and then to make an awful morning even worse, I kicked my kids toy with my bare foot. Almost had to call it quits and turn around - could barely make it down the hall to the office.....

Yeah guys, although the roads were ok earlier I can tell you that 495 in the Franklin/Bellingham area sucks right now, tons of ice! I saw 3 sets of cars spun out in a 1 mile stretch. If you can stay off the roads you really should.

Sounds fun. I'm going to head out from Burlington soon back home, which sounds like it'll be a good time

I will second this. Trip from westboro.. exit 9 on 495, home via Pike, to 84 to 20.., normally 50 minutes.... almost 2 hours.

Seems biggest culprits, are idiots, and the slush/ice/shit between the lanes, and when people drift, or change lanes... either center divider, or ditch. Plenty of that on that 30 mile stretch...
Between that, plows trying keep crap clear, and a huge lack of patience(idiots again)....

I drive fast, but, even I just take it easy during this crap....

For all of you that were wondering. No the BD lights will not ice up on you when you drive with them on!

And yes I do still run them on the street (even after being pulled over twice) but now only during the day, in bad weather.

Yeah the roads are pretty bad. I am on my way back from CT in a work van so I been on the road for a few hours now. I am not driving as I am writing this. Stopped for a late lunch at Tilly's Cheesesteak in Kingston RI.

How is Tilly's? I go by it on my way to/from URI every time I pick up/drop/visit the kid.

I found it to be very good. Though, the best steak and cheese I've had has been at Tides in Nahant.

My commute home was fine. No drama from Burlington to Hopkinton. 95/90/495 were all clear. Secondary roads were a little slippery, but the Landcruiser awd with no traction control just let me channel my inner Tanner Foust and slide all around in a controlled manner (on a closed course in Mexico obviously)

The snow is totally gone in central Maine except for mountain areas. Go north of Bangor.

It was delicious! My first time there in fact. Been wanting to go there for a while now. Figured I take a little detour off 95 to get it since I wasn't in a complete rush. IMHO it was worth it.

One of those Ford Transit Cargo vans. Damn thing needs an alignment as I was wandering a bit. Usually I am not driving the vans or trucks but I needed to drop off some stuff down in CT and with a bunch of the guys on PTO as well as I not dealing with much computer crap I figured why not.
