Exactly sure that money could have been better spent but I’m not being totally irresponsible and I work hard and do with how I choose. The financial pitchfork expert crowd here sometimes, just knew it was coming. I’ve seen people blow $10k easy on mods here (some even saying on the credit card) they will use maybe once to go camping, don’t see me saying anything about how that could have been better spent / they’re so irresponsible, etc.

I have never seen so much financial “advice” on a car enthusiast forum as TW.

Lol, right why the fuck do you come on a truck enthusiast form and tell people to not spend their money on truck stuff. Isn't there a form for that?

I shopped my Tacoma to multiple dealers. It was "what would you give me for my vehicle, if you would buy my vehicle, if I just walk off of your lot after selling it and don't buy another vehicle." Here were my offers:

    Toyota dealership 1: $28,000
    Toyota dealership 2: $30,000
    Subaru dealership: $31,000
    BMW dealership: $31,750
    Audi dealership: $32,000
    MB dealership: $33,000

If I only went to my local Toyota dealerships, then I'd be wondering the same thing.

Well I got $10k off the Camaro MSRP (new Dusk Edition) and $8500 off the Tacoma ($34k out the door). I'm well ahead of the resale value already and I work from home so it will be a very low mileage truck.

Can someone tell me why everyone on TacomaWorld is Dave Ramsey?

I for one, and I assume others do not care about your possessions and/or retirement accounts.

Most of us aren’t but there’s a few that always show up to tell everyone how to spend their money and why they’re smarter. I’m willing to bet those that remain quiet are far better off than the ones who feel the need to prove their financial prowless.

    Well said.

Either that or their job sucks, wife is cheating on them, and the only sense of validation they get is by puking their bank account balance(s) all over the Internet.

scammers know a days are no joke. I wouldn’t be flashing that shit to anyone, let alone a public forum.

I’m not saying your didn’t but $8500 off is probably the best deal I’ve ever seen that’s way over the 10-12% of MSRP. Nice score.

You could have got $20k off that Camaro and still be behind the 8 ball. Kiddos on the Tacoma though

Took me a month of negotiating with 6 different dealers. The old "beat this deal". I was going to buy used but it was $24,500 for a 2012 with 100k miles. He told me, if I were you I'd buy new.
