The ARE dealer near me quoted me a V series starting at 1600 before options. I think with carpet, light, sliders and screens it was around $2,000 (that may have also been with the fold-down cabside window, can't remember). I wasn't taking notes because at that point I was already thinking of buying used. If you want, I'll call them back and get a firm quote for what you want.

Could you not save some $ by carpeting yourself? Like spray adhesive and automotive carpet? I could see where working upside down would be annoying

My MGM cap is carpeted, lighted, and had sliding side windows, and roof tracks. I busted out the back window and paid 905 for a new one. I asked if it was even worth it to pay that much (I paid 550 for the cap). He told me the cap would be over $3,000 new w/ all the options I have on it. These things are expensive.

Last year, I was quoted $2,600 for the new A.R.E. all tricked out. I think it was the EVO model? I’m still saving up for it.

Gotta wonder why they bought a pro and then took off the only thing that makes it a pro

They just wanted the badges and embroidered head rests. Seriously though, what a waste of money.

Are those really necessary? As if everyone didn't know from the badges

Also thinking about an SR5 for the next go round. I figure I might as well save the money on packaging and buy the mods i want. The E-locker used to persuade me to the OR, but I'd rather re-gear and lock for the money saved over the OR package.

Well..bluetooth is necessary. I've got my ipad connected to the truck and use it all of the time for a lot of different stuff. However, the driving nannies I can DEF. do without. I hate them. (and don't have them)

I just recently bought a Bluetooth FM transmitter. I only have 2 speakers and 2 tweeters in my truck. And they're ok. Ill be ok with FM radio for a long time

The cost of the carpet wasn't all that much. And considering how much of a pain in the a$$ it is to do it yourself it seemed worth it...if I am going to spend that much on a new cap.

Also, I have three little kids so there's never enough time for anything so I need to allocate my time to stuff that my wife appreciates (e.g. redoing the screen porch) rather than working on the truck. :D:D
