To me they look like little mickey mouse ears on the truck. Would like the functionality of them, but I can't get past the look of them.

Same here. I don't care for the factory ones. Get a different brand.

I installed mine recently. Makes the truck look more sporty. But it actually ads quite a bit of noise with the arms out or when in use.

I was thinking about getting those, plus when I get a camper top I'd like to have a rack on it as well. Seems a little much but it will come in handy when I go camping and bring the kayak/bikes/whatever else won't fit in the bed

I first had the Yakima roof rack on my truck and loved them. Kinda noisy with the fairing but I switched to the OEM ones and I like them a lot more!!!:D

Just bought a set of OEM. Will put them on tomorrow. I think they look good on most trucks.

The OEM's are really easy to install. You basically haul off the rubber moulding on the roof and they screw right in. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I can't find mine at the moment though.

Not sure about the Yakima, but I'm sure its not too hard

I think they are hideous. :p I put my bike and snow board in the bed of my truck where they belong. Roof racks are for cars that dont have any storage. Roof racks on shells are OK. Thats just my opinion though. :D

I don't have any photos with them open. I could get some tomorrow if you really want. It's really dark out now.

can the OEM racks do any damage to the roof akin to how the OEM bug deflectors can damage the hood?
