Asphalt is cheap-ish, but it’s horrible in the summer time. Aggregate sucks because it hurts your ass more than regular gravel. Gravel sucks because it needs regular maintenance and gets in the yard etc. Concrete is the only way to go.......... But it costs a FORTUNE.

Living in California with constantly shrinking and expanding clay soil I would vote for pavers. More work to install initially and more expensive depending if you take on the project yourself or not.

recently got a quote to redo my 80’ driveway for 12,500 or do it all with pavers myself for around 3,500 including materials. Hire a couple guys and got a pattern to going with these things and I had more than half of the driveway done in one day. Second day was a lot more drinking so it took another half day to throw down the polymeric sand and vibrate it into the gaps

I don’t think I’ve ever had to use a snow shovel in Nashville. Everything melts in a day and we might get a “real” snowfall like once a decade.

I’m having a new gas hot water heater installed tomorrow. The current one is leaking and not from a connection or the relief valve. Yeah, homeownership s$#t right before Christmas!

Good thing because you need it. Especially living in the human toilet formerly known as the San Francisco Bay Area. :notsure:

It is. I have some family out there and visit quite often. Northern Idaho is amazingly nice. Anything around Montana’s west side was just awesome all around

No offense but have you been? Don’t be too quick to judge a place you only hear about on the news. The place is really nice but most people just think it’s poop on the streets and gang wars. You need to check out the marin headlands, east bay hills, South Bay mini mountains. So many nice places

To stay on topic, anyone use copper for propane lines? I’m building a bbq pin the back yard and would prefer to use soft copper so I can bend and twist it nicely in place. I know it’s allowed but just looking for anyone with experience on how well it held up.
