Yeah its somewhere in this thread haha
Tuned by a shop made 200kw 12psi (with restrictive exhaust), i have since changed a lot and soon to have my 2nd engine fully built, then itll be retuned
Kinugawa gtx3071r, ID1050x, full 3" exhaust, walbro 255, proflow fuel pressure reg.

I change a fair bit on the tune, mainly just adding stuff, fuel trims, flatshift, throttle blip, things like that.

I understand your concerns because i hit some major roadblocks and got shafted by a vendor but you need to be willing to work 4-5 hours for every hour you ask one of the experts for help. In the end @Hacktacular @Torspd came through huge and did everything from facetimes and screen share tuning to get me rolling. You need to do alot of studying or it’ll be a waste. I had no idea what i was doing when starting and it was the trial and error that teaches you what to look for.

Without even upping the boost, those changes should make for a good little bump up.

What is boost number goal, or power goal, when the built engine in installed?

I have a 2nd gen now https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/boostedkas-modest-2nd-gen-build.582302/ It runs really well now after doing a bunch of maintenance and fluid changes on it.
No forced induction yet. I would like to put a S/C on it with an HP tuner, but all these responsibilities keep getting in the way. LOL
Just got some new FN wheels for it yesterday, hoping to get them put on today or tomorrow.

300kw would be nice, but im not sure this setup will get there, the turbo only has a .63 rear housing, and an internal wastegate. I may need to make a new manifold with a t3 flange, ewg, and possibly a larger turbo

I just started on some 2TR stuff for our editor, been working on the tundra.
Here are a few tables, for example.
also need to clean up the tables extending out so far in decimal.

there are dozens upon dozens more.
If interest is there we can do a lot for the 2.7L. (not 3rd gen sorry, can't get into the ecu)

That's awesome. We need as much true base info as we can get, to begin at a safe starting point.

I'm surprised more people haven't expressed interest in the 2.7 sooner. It seems like a really robust engine that should respond well to tuning/mods.

I'm new to the Tacoma world and have a 2.7. The ONLY reason I have it is bc my brother sold it to me for dirt cheap. I would have never purchased it if I knew there was such little support for it. The engine has TWO balance shafts in it to keep it from rattling it apart. 147.3mm rod:95 stroke = 1.55:1 ratio This is on the low end of ratios to achieve higher RPM balance but not terrible. Honda's K24 is 1.54:1 with 99mm rods and can rev 7,000 all day(1,500 rpm more than 2tr) Many rev the piss out of them over 8,000. B18A1, B1, B20B4 all use the same 1.54:1 ratio as well but a 2.7 bore has a good amount more friction involved. And this motor was developed with low end torque in mind and with that, higher performance will be harder to pull out of it without significant mods. But that's where boost comes in.

well, the 2.7 has been around for a while and America = there's no replacement for displacement
Also America - Give me that V8.
Also America - Lets throw 3" taller tires on this thing and call it a day. (I'm having conflicted thoughts on throwing 29" tires on it bc it's such a granny geared auto and might just be safest to go up from 26.9" to only 28" or 28.5")

You severely underestimate the 2tr with similar amounts of money it’ll embarrass that k24

    I wouldn't go that far.
I have yet to see a 2TR making anything over 600.
    BoostedBoiz has the K-swapped MR2 making 1100+.
