Well after 2 months of watching and living with this bull my dad and I got to lay the hammer down on Dagger "what I named him," I along with my dad have been watching this guy since July 23 he was with two other bulls one bigger and one smaller. It just so happened that he came to our calls first and my dad shot him at 20 feet. I watched this bull damn near every morning and night since we spotted him. It was one of the coolest elk hunts I have ever been on and it was one that I along with my dad will never forget. Heres some pics for some of you horn strokers:D

That's awesome! Happy for the both of you. I bought a 340 Weatherby Mag back in 99' maybe 2000 for what would have been my first elk hunt and never went. I was looking for a 300 but this one was on sale for less. I sure would like to take time out and do it someday. Good job on a GREAT harvest!

Awesome Elk! Nothing like the kind of dedication it takes to bag one of these the way you and your dad did it.

That's a pretty good sized Bull. I'm assuming you got a special permit for this one since the general season doesn't start until this Saturday. Where do you hunt? I'll be going down to the Naches area this weekend for elk.
