Are there any plans for OV to release an Ultra 87 ECO mod for extreme hypermiling ? Would be welcome for long-distance trips.

Yeah....I don't get those numbers with my truck. Not 17 MPG, not towing anything, winter fuel 91 octane, with/without snow, uphill or downhill. Latest beta 2.0 and all. And I do not drive slow either.

Yeah... I drive with a heavy foot... I originally was running 17MPG or so stock. Put on Rick's 265/70R17 Cooper Pros and it went to 14MPG. With the 91 1.05 tune my heavy foot is enjoying the power, so now I'm down to 10-12MPG.

I think I need to ease off the gas a bit...

With the 91 oct 4.88 aggressive tip-in BETA tune. I got 18 mpg towing my lightweight boat over 400 miles.
Whats crazy is the RPMS are perfect for 4.88 gearing from 40-75mph when running 255/75/17 tires because the exact 32" shaves 100-200 pms off when cruising which equates to like +3-4 mpg on the highway when cruising (according to the MPG bar on the dash).
When I run a half inch smaller tire (265/70/17) the mpgs are worse when cruising because the less half inch increases the RPMs (+100-200) at cruising speed right at the threshold where mpgs change drastically. It is amazing the small tweaks that makes these trucks either suck fuel vs sip.

.... do you know what gear lock is?

.... did you read the first post of this thread and watch the video in it with how gearlock works?

Go read the prior conversation. Question was on gearlock in S mode for towing. Not what gearlock is.

I tow - and when I do don't use ECT in S mode - just S mode - works just fine for my 1700lb trailer. Mat has done a very good job with the 2.0 beta for my 4.88 setup. Running 0944 87 octane performance tune for 4.88's with GL (ECT + S mode = manual shifting). If it starts to do the up-down thing when towing up a steep grade I just lock it down one more notch so 4th is the top big gear - when the grade reduced I bump it back so it can upshift to 5th. This allows me to keep the RPM in the power range (3000 plus).

Are you saying that was your mpg for the entire 127 miles? If so I don't buy it for a second. Show us your screen when you turn your truck off. The one with the mpg and distance travelled
