And not really. I have to do the mastering meta data for these two albums and also keep editing 3 others plus do budget stuff and few other things. So im going to Powell this weekend and will work a bit from there and be back here on thursday.

Lol off season for concerts. Almost more busy during the "off season" really. I have 6 albums to complete, 23 concerts to mix this spring, and new systems to install. Plus managing all the AV so gotta keep everything working and make sure films hit deadlines now too. Hopefully we will have a 2nd film editor though soon if the guy takes the gig.

just replacing the drums? Should take an afternoon. The drum pad mechanisms are a pain but once you get it its not too bad.

 

They are overly complex and it's easy to miss place something I think. But once you know the layout and adjustments right it should work just fine. I redid mine this summer and made a huge difference.

 

Definitely over engineered in a bad way haha my dad wanted to do his even though his pads were fine and I warned him. He regretted it haha but got it done just fine.

I just cleaned them and adjusted them. Work great now.

 

Never understood why people feel that they are such a pita. I didn't find it very difficult when I replaced my wheel bearings.

 

I'm going to be doing this to both the Tacoma and 4Runner the second week of January. Left the old shoes on each of them after doing axle seals, just to be sure everything was good so I didn't "waste" a set of shoes.

 

Look at the bright side, you'll understand how it all works after you get it back together this time.

 

It took me a few times to get the drums sorted out right. When I had the most issues, it was from shitty wagner shoes I installed when my old napa ones got soaked in gear oil. I tossed those and got new napa ones it was fine.

If you're going to mess with them, I'd recommend getting a hardware kit, as they're cheep and replace all those springs that may be worn. Then clean the star wheel really well and get plenty of anti seize on the threads.

 

Just go to any auto parts store and ask for a drum brake hardware kit.

They usually have a basic kit with springs and such, and a more complete kit with new star wheels etc. Most places should have them in stock.

 

Hey Ben didn't you have hood issues at one point? Or Mike? Mine got blown up on the interstate the other day and I think you two talked about some adjustment you can do to the latch?

ben for sure. He slammed that thing 30 times everytime for years before adjusting the clasp if I recall up front.

 

well in the first 50 seconds I saw the Pryors mostly and the Northfork canyon by Buffalo Bill so maybe. but doubtful. That trail will turn those guys around haha

But they already exposed most the good stuff in the Big Horns. So Id be Kirwin will too. Often the down side to posting about our adventures and others posting about theirs. Can't stop it though. And it's public land anyways.

Parasailing now though I see. Interesting. They are bring everything with them now too. I had a short faint desire to do that once.
