As I was driving around today on sloppy roads I was reminded that around here tail lights can get so dirty/salt covered that you can barely tell they are on so this upgrade will definitely help the lights shine through the grime.

I do keep a spray bottle in the garage and give all of the lights a quick rinse when I get home.

All you gotta do is swap the LED bulb bottom to top then you'll know.

As to the hyperflash, I am driving around with it while waiting on the resistors, as I didn't want to change back and then change back again, and figure even with the hyperflash they know I'm signalling a turn.

Anyway, I drove down to Florida and back, and after an hour or so on the highway the hyperlash stopped when I was signalling left. it was still there signalling right. Then later it came back. Now it comes and goes while signalling left.

    It's just weird.

Good call, I'll give that a try first.
Sadly no, haven't had the opportunity. Yesterday was the first day without rain in what seems like forever, but didn't get home until 10pm. Might have some time after 5 today, so I'll give it a shot in the dark if I can.

Last night I happened to be driving behind a truck with what I assume were Meso tails and then later behind a truck with stock tails. The difference in the visibility of the turn signals was HUGE. The stock red turn signals were barely visible over the brake lights while the amber Meso turns were bright and unmistakable and didn't get washed out by the brake lights.

Quick update on my red led bulb smituation. Reached out to Stew before just ordering another bulb from VLED and asked if it's covered under any type of warranty at all, even said no biggie if not since I've had my stage 2 kit since end of may. He got back to me and said a new bulb is in the mail for me.

I can't stress enough how awesome MESO's customer service is. I've seen it across the forums and experienced it first hand, if you ever have an issue, he will help you! Can't beat that.

I hear ya. Stage 2 is awesome, but since he revamped the stage 1, if I had to do it all over again, I'd go stage 1 and avoid all the cutting involved with the stage 2 switchbacks for fitment.

I'm also trying to resist every urge I have in reaching back out to him and requesting if he can mod my pro tails into these... Keep trying to tell myself my stage 2s are enough, my stage 2s are enough...

I gotcha. I'll look into it. Although, I'd love to get my hands on a pair of those tail lights!

    Yep! They look awesome.

Good place to start if you want to look into the stage 2s further, watch the install vid on the product page. Shows you how you have to modify the housings for the triton bulbs. An ultrasonic knife is used in the video and makes it look like a walk in the park. I used a hot knife and it too way long, and was a little messier. But avoided the mess of using a dremel and getting all the excess material trapped in the housings.

I believe the new stage 1 switchbacks are almost as bright as the stage 2s now.
