I have in the past, but it doesnt feel as solid as it should on the AR so it needs to be replaced anyway - may as well update. I've always had trouble with safety selectors except on my Mossberg. Love that thumb safety.

    A thing or two...
I had a Browning BPS for a number of years that had the safety on the top that was great. I sold it to my buddy to buy a Mossberg 930. The safety is on the top too, but it's a farther reach and not as convenient. I feel that the BPS pointed better for me, too.

Well, I got my tent mounted up last night with the help from a buddy. Aaron's definitely going to need to rig up a way to hoist it on and off. Even with the two of us, it's a bit more wrangling than I'd care to do regularly. Can't wait to test it out!

    upload_2019-12-17_9-37-7.jpg

With the addition of another layer of foam tape insulation underneath, I reinstalled the softopper rails. My guess is they'll seal just as well as they previously did, if not better. Priority number one will definitely be figuring out a hoisting method.

Any duck hunters here? I'm looking to do some bird hunting after the new year but I'm pretty new and not real sure where to go. I'm in the river valley area.

    Thanks,

    Ben

Along the River, there should be plenty of areas. But check the AGF for WMAs nearby... https://www.agfc.com/en/hunting/where-hunt/wildlife-management-areas/

    Hey Ben,

There's public WMAs all over that have some decent duck hunting. Just check out AGFC's website for info on them. Getting particular holes can be pretty competitive on the weekends in some WMAs, which means crowds. But, if you've got some time during the week, go check out the areas that are close to you and hunt then. Just make sure you know when you can and can't be there as there's restrictions about that during the season.

I started out hunting with a friend from church on WMAs up here in NEA, and that helped me learn the flow. But, hey, even if you don't have a boat, you can sometimes spot people that are walking in and ask to roll with. Then just do like they do, unless it's illegal. I've just got a kayak with a trolling motor, and that's been fine when there isn't a crowd. Or even spring for a guided, private land hunt if you wanna spend the cash. Can't speak much to the land in your area.

Whatever you do, know the rules and always carry your licenses/proof of stamp purchase!! If AGFC wardens police anything, it's duck hunting. After you hunt public for a bit, you'll see why too.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll check out the WMAs first! I'm friends with several duck hunters in the area but they're odd when it comes to their duck hunting holes. That or they hunt in OK and I'd prefer to not pay for an out of state license...

    Thanks again!

    Ben

We have stripped uppers (Anderson) and lowers (Anderson, Aero, & sometimes Spike's), Magpul grips and stocks, Magpul and UTG forends (no free floats, just inserts for A2 style front sight/gas block), CMMG gas blocks & tubes, CMMG upper and lower parts kits, along with ALG and Geissele triggers. We're trying to build up inventory on random assorted parts (detents, springs, etc.) but we do have them.

We generally do not stock barrels but get them every once in a while. There are so many on the market and everyone likes something different so it's difficult to predict what will sell.

I have figured out how to put mine up and take it off by myself, but it sure is easier with 2 people. Looks like you have the larger size tent though.

Went to try out the Trigger Gap airstrip near Berryville. Very cool, great place to watch the sunset up on the top of the hill

    Yeah.
Very cool, looked it up on Google Maps. What is going on in the field south of the eastern end? Sat photos show weird brown circles and lines.

I'd gladly take some off your hands. I'll be swinging through LR on my way to my parent's house for Christmas on Saturday, or I can stop on my way back after Christmas.
