    Me too! well... Lebanonl lol

You should've started with you're not from CA. Lol.

As far as the truck, you should be totally fine. Only the north part of oregon does DEQ, so don't live in Portland.

As far as housing, north Albany around the Springhill area is a good place to start, or Salem if you have the coin. 300k won't buy you much there, atleast from my looking of a new house. A lot of people who work in Salem live in the "north Albany " area. Which is the nice area I mentioned above.

Any other major questions, feel free to PM and I'll get back to ya.

    Where are you coming from?
    How long of a visit?

    3-4 days time?
Pike Place Market for sure, avoid "junkie park" at night on the north end of Pike Place.
Original Starbuck is also at Pike Market.
Space Needle is great during a clear day @ $37/per person.
Kerry Park is a great view spot
    Alki Beach
Washington State Ferry to where ever.

    More time?
Any of the San Juan islands.
    Mt Rainier (Paradise or Sunset)
Mt St Helens, not sure how close you can get to an active volcano
Ocean Shores - miles of flat beaches
Cape Flattery - north of Ocean Shores about 2-3hrs - most northwest point on continental USA

You can hit almost all the stuff on the list in the city in 1-2 days depending on how much you want to do in a day. The best stuff IMO is outside of the cities, east towards the cascade mountains or west towards towards the puget sound and the coast. Hopefully you come in late July as July 5th is our unofficial start to summer here. It'll be good to escape the humidity of NC though. I was stationed in Fayettenam from 04-06. That humidity is oppressing.

300k is great. Get a smallish modular and buy some land somewhere pretty. Problem solved.

    What's your jam?

For a summer trip, I'd say, take the ferry somewhere (or Blake Island), visit Pike's/etc for a city day, maybe hit some of the places on Eater's list.

Along side the stuff everyone else mentioned to do and see you should try some of the good stuff to eat too. Try to grab a Dick's cheeseburger, get a bowl of pho for brunch or lunch, a bowl of Ivar's clam chowder and maybe try some sushi if you are into it. There are lots of good places all over the city so you can just check Yelp for something close by.

We have a place called dicks in SC. All kinds of food and they have you wear paper hats with rude comments on it.

The wash was pretty good.... better then the normal shampoo I use.
Honestly haven’t used the oil... Nothing against you if your my TWSS but I dont use beard oil. Have only put oil on my beard a hand full of times over the last 10ish years. With that said though I want to say thank you for the thoughtfulness of your gifts and being an awesome member of TW

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I spent a couple of years in Montgomery Alabama back in the 80's.... You have my sympathy about the humidity. Even at our worst in July it's going to feel like someone kicked on the AC for you.

The only oil my beard ever sees is 10-40 rotella after it's spent some time lubricating a Cummins or Cat engine. It helps with the grey hairs and salt & pepper look. :anonymous:
