You’re insane if you have to drive a car in NYC. My mother came over from the Philippines in the early 80’s and worked in Manhattan. She got her driver’s license for some weird reason, but she failed the first time because her test was in a blizzard and was failed because she was too far from the curb.

How that instructor could see the curb through all that snow I’ll never know.

My mother-in law had a Subaru Justy that was just the right size for weaving in and out of traffic. It didn't use much fuel if you got stuck in tunnel traffic. That was my preferred City car.

I wouldn’t call driving in San Francisco as bad as NYC, but it’s pretty bad.

Manila, on the other hand. Well you better hope you have a change of pants. Lanes are merely suggestions.

There’s just something about one owner cars. I’m tempted to write a letter to the Original owner of my car to let him know I’m giving his car a second life. He drove that car for close to 30 years, must have really liked it.

The dealer I bought it from asked me why I thought it was already on a trailer hitched to his truck. He told me if I didn’t message him that night, it would be going to the junkyard that morning.

My friend Jason bought one of those. We never got it to run quite right. Still hilarious to pin the throttle and dump gear to gear without letting off

@BartMaster1234 have you had any luck finding steering wheels on any of the 4runners you've seen at salvage yards?

Yeah, almost every single one of them has had the steering wheels on them.

Have you ever asked what the going rate on them is? And are you seeing them with airbag still intact?

If he writes back to me I’ll probably drive it up to him. He’s not far from me.

He was a rich man too. There is a very faded decal on the deck lid of the Z that says “Berkeley Marina”. He lived in the hills next to this guy:

Not my truck... El Taco Diablo is safe and sound.

I've got something in the works... but let's just say, I'll be needing a steering wheel for a 1st Gen Taco... or... 3rd Gen T4R

Need a black steering wheel with airbag. (Tan would work too)

Yeah there’s plenty of those. Do you need one? I’m going to find parts for my Nissan tomorrow. The prices are on Pick-n-Pull’s site. I have a steering wheel puller for this job already.
