FWIW- I used a heat gun and an old plastic card to work up the corners enough for me to he able to peel them off. Word to the wise, get yourself some Stoners Tar Remover. Spray it on a microfiber and not directly on the paint. After you have it clean, wipe the area off with something like a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol/water mix and dry. Hit the area with some quick detailed afterword. That way you get the glue off and then clean the tar remover off the clear coat. It’s supposed to be clear coat safe, but I don’t trust that. Then you put a layer of protection over it with the quick detailer until your next cleaning.

 

Nice looking truck. Really shiny. I like that a lot.

The wheel is a 17x9" w/ -38mm offset, the tire is 285/75 R17 and the lift is ~2.5"-3". Obviously you've got to do the CMC, pinch weld and some trimming but yeah it fits w/ no rub. I just completed everything a few days ago, I'm sure I'll get some rub on the trail but I'm sure it'll be nothing a little more trimming and a hammer can't take care of.

 

Thanks. My suggestion: remove bed stickers (and V6 emblem), makes it look so much cleaner, but "yup to you" on that sort of thing.

 

Yeah I've been considering that or possibly an all black replacement sticker... Been going back and forth on it, I'll likely end up with no sticker, but we'll see.

I bought those decals for my stock rims but I didn't have the patience to line up 24 pieces just right.

 

Those are decals!?!? Dang, I was curious about a dark bronze paint job on them. I would likely have my local body shop try it.

 

Yep those are the decals! Took me all damn day but well worth $40 for blacked out rims. I had the trd center cap made in white and really like it. I did a bad job on a few sections but unless you were like a foot away you’d never notice. Not bad for stock

 

Any of you guys with a small lift have grease exposed on your lower ball joints? Just noticed it and not sure if needs immediate replacement?

 

Went exploring a bit north of Vegas.

 

It's probably fine to drive on if necessary but definitely looks like you should replace it soon lol.

Grease exposed means further investigation is needed. Sometimes the is a malfunction with the boot not necessarily an immediate joint failure. How many miles, been on any trails, and other info comes in to play.
