Bilstein’s website shows different part numbers for driver and passenger side. Are these both the same part numbers or no? The website also shows the driver side reservoir mounts toward the rear of the truck and passenger side reservoir mounts toward the front of the truck, is that correct? Sorry for the confusion but I’m interested in these.

 

Yes, you are correct are the reservoir mounting orientation. Also the drivers side included the brake line extension kit. I'm including everything just as you bought them per part # for each side

Was the brake line extension kit required? I'm about to install 6112/5160s with SPC UCAs and wondering what little shit i need or I'm going to run into.

 

The brake line extension kit is needed on the drivers side due to the length if the stock "flexable" rubber brake lines being too short. If you ordered the 5160's, it should come with the "brake line spacer block" to take some pressure off of the stock brake lines. A lot of us that have the 5160 setup, just installed +2 or +4 aftermarket extended brake lines and replaced the factory ones. It is a great investment if you are going to lift the rear of your truck and go wheeling. Plus a $65 investment into extended aftermarket brake lines to make sure that you brake lines dont break and you can't stop is a small price to pay.

 

Gotcha. So it would require bleeding the brakes then, and removing stock lines, etc. Wonder if I should let the shop do it now... lol I got quoted $1000 to have my 6112/5160 and ucas, add a leaf installed and aligned. Seems ridiculously high.

 

That quote is high yes. The block that comes with the 5160's would not require bleeding the brakes but adding new extended brake lines would yes. You may be able to hook up with a couple of other TW members in your area to see where they got their lift installed. If you are mechanically inclined you can do it but you should be able to get it done cheap than that. Search out the regional forums for your area and put out a feeler of places that others have used to get their lifts done or if others can help you with it. An alignment will need to be done either way though.
