You are the one paying for the vehicle, and it's maintenance.

    Which one do you want?

How many miles are on it? I didn’t read through so I don’t know if it had been mentioned, but my good friend had an eco boost f150 from new to 100,000 miles. I shit you not, at about 98k everything started breaking.

The entire climate control was going out, the turbo had to be replaced, the door panels were popping out of place.
He took great care of the truck and loved it until ford tried to not warranty anything.

Is there any warranty on it? I really like f150's too but I wouldn't buy one out of warranty. I would try to find a certified one.
I love my tacoma but it feels small at times. Myself being 5' 11" and my friends being over 6' tall, it gets a little tight inside.
However, I have never went over 1k pounds in the bed and don't tow, so I'm good for now. So only drawback of my tacoma is the inside room and can live with it for now. Tacoma's are the perfect size offroad which is a huge plus also

The F150 has 78k on it. My Tacoma has 98k. The F150 will come with a 60 day warranty per NYS law but otherwise no warranty after that.

Nothing to add to what has already been stated on what is causing your ride quality and steering issues. Sell the tacoma and get what you want. Don't trade it in and get low market value.

It’s not that I don’t want the Tacoma. Just weighing this option since I thought it was a good deal

ALL Fords are good deals, Toyotas aren't good deals. It's because Ford sux and Toyota doesn't. People just want out of their Fords.

I had a 2012 F-150 SuperCab with a 6 1/2 foot bed, and the 3.7L NA V6. I loved that truck and never had one issue with it for the 6 years that l had it.
I like the idea of all that hp and torque of the EcoBoost V6's. But the complexities of the turbos turned me away. Then l read about the issues that some were having with them.

I had to sell my F-150, and l'm glad that l bought my Tacoma. It's not as big as my F-150 was. But I don't need all that space now anyway, and the long term reliability of the Tacoma is what l really want.

As the saying goes "Grass is always greener...."

I told my wife I was thinking about selling our Tacoma and buying a Ford, she told me she thinks we should both start seeing other men.

The Hilux, is probably a great medium between the F-150 and a Tacoma. If you wanted to and could get a truck somewhere in the middle.

    I had a 2011 F150 with the 3.7 NA V6. Followed by a 2005 Tacoma and now a 2010 Tacoma. Both double cab TRD OR 4x4.

Resale value on the Tacoma is a hell of a lot better than the Ford. It’s not even close. I liked the ‘05 from 140k to 181k miles a lot more than that new F150.

The F150 is loaded (options wise) with 78k miles and my Tacoma is average options and 98k miles. Running the kbb and nada numbers on average the Tacoma is about $1000 less on trade in and $2000 less than retail using their numbers. Which isn’t bad for an older truck with more miles.
