2015 pro pretty much only produce for 1 year
I have 1 and very proud of it. I would love a 3rd gen with TT setup. Basically, 2nd and 3rd are pretty much the same.

 

... People somehow think that the tech makes them not as awesome at driving, or something.

 

They have different transmissions and gearing, apples to oranges man. 5 vs 6 gears so of course the 6spd will shift more and require more RPM. I’ve owned both, the 4.0 feels stronger down low and weaker up top. The 4.0 falls flat at high RPMs. They were tuned by Toyota very differently as well.

 

Probably the same ones who think that in 3 years the Cybertruck will outlaw anyone from driving a non-autonomous vehicle.

 

That’s not really accurate.

Torque is how hard you’re pushing on the wall.
Work is how hard you pushed multiplied by how far you pushed it.
Power is how fast you got it there.

Neither one deal with what happened before you were touching the wall.

Absolutely. Nothing says “pure truck lifestyle” more than skidding off the highway into a fiery wreck, when you lock ‘em up on wet pavement.

 

If you're truck has power steering or a/c you might as well wear a skirt when you drive it. I have a hand crank starter like a real man. An electric starter is just one more part to break.

One thing I don't see mentioned around here is the 2nd gen wheel wells. People like to shit on 3rd gens but your wheel well is square. What's up with that?

 

Any thread that mentions that goofy swoosh shape of the 2G Tacos wheel well gets locked. It is not to be discussed. We all know it looks silly AF, but whatever. Probably helps catch the wheels when the frame collapses.

Disagree. If you are less engaged with TSS then a spectacularly stupid death still awaits. It isnt an active driving system, it doesnt do the thinking for you at all, and woe be to the dummy that depends on it to do just that. The whole purpose of TSS is to try to catch some of your mistakes before they become serious mistakes. And yes I still get annoyed AF when it starts bitching at me about how I should have braked sooner. But then I put ego in check and say "you know Rock, the Bitch Beeper sorta has a point, you really should not run up someones ass like that."

TSS is more of a peer review than an autopilot. Sometimes it catches shit before you go down, sometimes it doesnt. And saying that you become less engaged is like saying youre the kid that depends on the peer review to write your term paper for you. Sometimes that kid gets lucky on that one paper, but on average they still fail the class.
