I had an issue with a lost lug nut and had to call Dustin to get the lug nut info so I could get a new set. I called and had no issues with getting him on the phone and he was helpful as always and hooked me up with the info I needed right away. I had my lug nuts the next morning so I could take the truck on a road trip. Give him another shot I believe he is moving his shop. I can honestly say I have had no troubles getting a hold of him before and after I purchased my wheels.

Oh, I completely agree with you. I bought my wheels, lugs and TRD caps from him a few years ago. Had no issues whatsoever, was a great buying experience.

There had been a rumor lately he was hard to get a hold of, but he posted on social media what had been happening and supposedly everything is better.

So from what it sounds like, it may be good to go. Which is nice cause wifey is looking at a GX460 and those BFD wheels of his would look perfect lol

That bedslide is a good idea, I might start looking through Craigslist for bedslides for other vehicles

Normally owners post cool stuff they did to their Taco here. But the thread is "What have you done . . ." I managed to demonstrate why I need a two inch lift kit. Had to cross this creek four times while teaching a trail building class and managed to bend / break the socket mount for the trailer lights. I'm very luck I didnt take out the fuel tank or differential.

Not going to buff out. Anyway, that's what i did lately.

It's pretty common to break those. Many drill a hole in the bumper (my plan) or get brackets that bend it upward like they are on the T4R. Since yours is busted, I would go the hole-in-the-bumper route.

Good deal. Thanks for the advice. Still, two inch lift and I really want a snorkel.

Getting a buzzing or clicking type noise when the truck is turned off. It is very sporadic, maybe once in 10-14 days. I have not yet isolated
where noise is coming from. When I start the truck it stops.

Concerned I have a fire about to happen. When I can isolate more, I will post.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

where on the truck is the noise the loudest? Is it only after the truck
is parked? Is the noise there in the morning before you start it?

That's one thought. Loose gas cap venting when outside pressure changes?
An intermittent relay under hood - stops when engine starts and electric power resumes? Every 10 to 14 days: after a fill up? Need more info

Yeah, the Tacomas have a system to release unburned fuel after the vehicle shuts off. I’ve heard mine do it several times and had no idea what was going on. Quick TW search and I figured out it was perfectly normal... Definitely freaked me out though the first time I heard it!

My sport makes a similar sound after startup and a short wait after shutdown. It’s the ABS booster building pressure at startup and releasing it after shutdown. I have a sport and my booster is just under the hood at the back right, just in front of the passenger fender side of the firewall.

Question - I had this sound last night at 6 hours after turning key off. I have no idea if it was making the sound for 6 hours.
So it is nothing to worry about, just asking?

    Thanks G.T.!!
