Purpose of clip in center console lid?

To hide your joint from the Popo so you don’t get riding dirty.

 

It is marked as a pen holder on the manual.

 

I can see you as well as a few others have never been pulled over and had your vehicle searched. Some of you guys need to work on your hiding spots.

 

It's a small stainless steel vial. It was held in place by a straw in the first picture.

 

Well my glove compartment is locked, so is the trunk in the back and I know my rights so you goin' need a warrant for that.

(Yeah, I've never been searched either)

 

A true story:

Several years ago, a good friend called me to help get his GF out of jail for DUI. Part of my help involved getting her car home. It had been left parked where her arrest occured. My friend dropped me off to drive her car home. When I got in the car I found open containers of alcohol, and 3 joints laying in the console, IN PLAIN SIGHT.

Obviously, cops don't always do a thorough search.
