@destin_meeks at Best Buy they’re telling me the maestro t harness for non jbl factory HU will work the same as the self made t harness everybody makes to install the kicker key... is this correct? I’m trying to install the audio control lc2 and kicker key today. Thank you sir

ps they hold onto these items like diamonds here in Jackson Tennessee lol. They won’t let me carry them while shopping

 

That is incorrect. The maestro harnesses are NOT t-harnesses. They are made to replace the factory radio, not retain it. There is no male connector on that harness to plug into the factory radio.

 

Thanks! I didn’t think it was right so I passed on the harness. Getting anxious waiting for the male connectors to get here I ordered off Amazon. Any place sell these harnesses already assembled?

I’m wanting to install Rockford Fosgate rpuequ and audio control lci2 w kicker key amp.

 

Basically nothing besides 45 rms via key to my rears as I don’t even hear them too much and they sound great infinity ref. I want my front focal 6.5s and 125w powered sub on the line converters

 

theres a company that was blacklisted from the site I think, so those companies names get marked out. The 2 basic metra harnesses are all you need

I'd have to ask a mod for the specific reason. I recall some "aggressive" comments towards anyone with negative reviews, but it's been a while so I won't claim absolute knowledge

 

Meh, with my experience, more than likely what happened was a customer fucked up and tried to blame them. Then they tried to shake the blame. Customer gets aggressive. Then the company either puts their foot down appropriately, or give them X just to get it over with. What we forget is that they’re people too, and if you push them they may crack and push back. I personally dont approve of a company pushing back, but damn it, ever since that one idiot invented that whole “the customer is always right” bs people have been getting more and more entitled. Anyway, end rant, thats just what I see in most of my time being out and about.

 

So are those two basic harnesses absolutely necessary for this install or could I use posi connectors to splice into speakers behind the factory head unit? I do have the harnesses ordered. Two sets of them but I’ve got spare time today and was kinda itching to get the AC LO2 and Rockford rp equ installed with amp if it’s not too hard or time consuming

You cannot just splice them unfortunately, because you need an input side an an output side for the Key. Meaning the wire either has to be cut and then connected to the Key's harnesses (which is hard to do with the short factory wiring) or you can just use the metra harnesses and do all the work on the table in the house and then just go plug it into the truck
