A situation where you see a paper bag over someone else's head means that you are meddling in another person's relationship, something that doesn't concern you. It is best if you keep your opinions to yourself - because you don't know what this person is going through.

I’m not sure your intent here.

I'm not sure how his comment could possibly be meddling in your relationship.

I'm glad to hear that, one way or another I'm not going to take it personal. I'm unclear of the emoji and am curious. That's why I asked.
I have heard many times that Idahoians don't want others moving in and clogging up freeways and etc. I'm sensitive and notice more than I should sometimes.

Easy there guy back at ya, its called a simple question, there was no malice, and I'm glad you think that was a weird response. With 37K messages that must make you an expert on what to write and not to write? Whoops, did that come off harsh? sorry.
I'm not bent out of shape, wait I'm feeling a tug on my heart, maybe it was all just in fun. Ok I'm cool now.

I think many are worried that the incoming Californians will try to change the political and social ways of Idaho. Most Californians I have met have moved to get away from that mentality so hopefully there's nothing to worry about. I'd dial it back on the sensitivity if you want to get along here though. I moved here recently from Colorado and it's a relief from the social atmosphere there.

When I was driving to my first job this morning I thought, I overreacted a bit. So sorry.
    Ouch, funny though.
Yes, I hear that often. I'm positive I would get along just fine with the social ways. Whenever I see a scene of mountains, trees, rivers, creeks, a little snow, etc I get the feeling of I WANT THAT, I want to live where there isn't concrete around every corner. And would like to feel the relief you are experiencing.

your wife is gonna take a MONSTER hit in her salary in ID. Also since it’s a “right to work state” there are no unions for healthcare workers.

my wife makes less than half of her nursing salary since our move to ID.

On the flip side I'm making 40% more as a nurse moving to and working in CDA. Colorado doesn't pay shit and the cost of living is crazy. The valley around CDA has the same cost of living as the nicer parts of where I'm from in western CO. CDA proper is more expensive of course.

We looked at Boise but weren't impressed with the cost of living or the pay. Denver is the new LA.

Yah because CDA finally wised up to folks that would rather commute to Spokane for healthcare jobs. Idaho wages in general are a fucking joke.
EDIT: All you clowns that are “liking” the fact that ID is a right to work state and pays shit are fucked up. It’ll be a cold day in whatever shithole Boise suburb you can think of when ID finally passes a living wage law.

Yeah a few nurses told my wife when she shadowed yesterday that the good paying jobs are in Spokane. Maybe we'll end up commuting but we'll ride this 40% pay bump for awhile and that's before a 12% night differential. It's going to feel like we're swimming in money compared to what we've been dealing with in CO anyway. Taxes between ID and CO are about the same though each in different categories.

We decided on the CDA because of the competition for jobs, proximity to a relatively major airport (compared to what we're used to). Where we live now has one big hospital where we work(ed) and some vastly smaller hospitals. The big hospital knows it's the only big game in 200 miles and they just don't pay. Combine that with retirees moving into the area in drives and we could only buy in the bad area of town unless we wanted to be house poor.

People in CDA say there's a housing crisis and maybe but compared to Colorado it's not nearly that bad. The CDA valley reminds me of Denver/Colorado springs 5-8 years ago.
