    Hey guys...

So It almost took a year before I noticed this, but when I push in my clutch there is a small click noise. Is this normal, should I be concerned, am I the only one?

    Thanks for the help.

There is a TSB for this. If still under warranty Toyota will fix at no charge.

You can check the gap between the pad on the pedal and end of the master cylinder rod. If it is too big, it will click as the pad hits the rod. I recently adjusted mine to stop this click. It is usually worse when cold, then the parts expand a bit. So, be sure to make the adjustment after driving and warming up the interior. If the gap is too tight and loads the rod, it can cause were to the throw out bearing.

The whole procedure is in the Service Manual that is available for download here on TW.

It moves around depending on when the cloud shares get annoyed with the downloads. A search in the 3rd Gen section will find it.

Lube all the pivot points and especially the top of the slave cylinder actuator rod and see where that gets you.

I read the title as "clutch kicks" at first and I was about to give some very different advice.

You can use a white lithium grease. But any type of high pressure spray grease will work. The actuator rod tip is in a small bucket which you will have to spray up into to get it covered.

The tip of the silver actuator rod goes into a small 'bucket' where is makes contact with the pedal assembly. Use a spray extender to get up into that. Also, hit the pivot points of the assembly itself which you will see as you move the pedal around. I think there are 4 points there as well.

Its free play. It is adjustable, you have to remove the lower dash panel, and then remove the 10mm (IIRC) bolts that hold down the fuse box and then you can access the top adjuster for the clutch. It will be directly behind the fuse block and has a sensor attached to it for the clutch. The other adjustment is on the MC pushrod going to the pedal. I believe its a 14mm and a 10 or 12mm open ended wrench you'll need to adjust it, hold the MC with the big one and twist off the lock nut with the smaller one.

that means the MC is maxed out in travel before the pedal is at the top. The click is the MC re-engaging I would think

I attempted to get grease in there but its a closed "bucket", there are no holes or openings to put the extender into.

You can put disc brake grease on the tip of your finger and work it into that small bucket.
