    "THE GREAT SOUTHERN MARYLAND MEAT MEET"

    Who: Anyone can come. Everyone is invited. Bring the kiddo's too.

    What: A simple get together to hang out with friends/family, eat some BBQ (Yes Brisket) & shoot the shit.

    When: Saturday January 4, 2020

    Where: Loony Bin BBQ, Gambrills, Md.

    http://www.loonybinbbq.com/

    I called and spoke to Nick and he said they have at least room for 60 inside. I doubt it will be nice enough outside to hang out. If winter is a little harsher than expected and this becomes a stupid idea then we will just reschedule it.

    I'm cross posting this in a couple other threads and will keep them all up to date. Just quote this post and I will add you to the list.

    @RobP62 - Yes
    @Minimag95 - "That'll be a solid probably from me"
    @EatSleepTacos - "Definitely a maybe though with strong chance of changing my mind and doing nothing at home instead since it's 3.5 hours away"

    @Jim=2015 TRD PRO - "I’m in. Only about an hour drive. jim"
    @Comatose - "All I know is my gut tells me maybe."
    @rnish - "50/50 If I show I’m no longer anonymous
    :anonymous:"
    @Justanotherhemi - "It’s a strong maybe for me. 92/27"
    @UntamedTaco - "Brisket!!! Hells ya, that's my favorite food group. Count me in."
    @RedDeadTaco - "I’m in!"

    @fdb03taco - "Definitely a soft maybe"
    @FIRE74 - I’m in, can’t remain anonymous forever
    @Bobby18 - I’m in:)
    @Tarvis - I'm in. Anyone interested in carpooling from Cecil / Harford?
    @pdenajim - "I'm in"
    @brownbagindustries - I can do the 4th.
    @FadoMakar - Sick I'll be there!
    @Tonymontana - I know about it, and I'm in.

    One good part about having a chase bar with running/brake inputs is I can turn the bar on and brake check without *actually* brake checking.

    All you've gotta do is say there was a squirrel that ran out in front of you. He shouldn't have been following that closely.....

    Now....repeated brake checks would be a different story.

    That sucks. You got off easy then. I want armor bumpers so I encourage tailgating.

    Actually not the case at all. As a matter of fact, I am adding a 3rd Brake like to the Softopper asap. Seems people are really running up on me now. Might just be me being paranoid but it bugs me.

    I'm gonna wire in one of those tailgate light bar strips up at the top. I just need to find one short enough. Putco makes one that is 36" but even that is pushing it. And it is too damn expensive. I'd like to have all the functions. Reverse, turn, running and brake. I might have to settle for just brake.

    That's very nice. The Putco is not so expensive now. :anonymous:

    Actually, I was thinking of something a little more modest at first, like this.
    Then I got on the full featured light bar kick.

    2019-12-17_5a029d673ddadd07371bd5e7e35db944475ddf0a.jpg

    2019-12-17_e7afa37d64c8c22f0e28dafe7f6c16753e0a30f5.jpg

    These are 26" apart at the top and if I get something cheap enough I can just affix the male ends to the light, and then just clip it in when I need it there. They are 26" apart. Hence the 30". I'll add quick disconnects to the wiring so when I fold the topper down I can easily remove the light.

    Besides the garage here at work there is not a lot of vandalism to worry about. The guy I stole this idea above from actually hard mounted his light by adding metal grommets to the canvas, screwing through them to the light, and then sealed everything with silicone.

    $20 tops.

    I personally think the price is high even if it is a newer cap. It will need to be painted or bed lined at the very least but what I'd like to know is why the work on the roof? Did he remove a rack, or stand on it and crack it (I bet that's the case)?

    I suppose you could have it LineX'd for about as much as paint and then never worry about it again.

    Also, I wish I could bring it to you.
