Regret...Undercover UltraFlex deletes use of side rails

Well, I didn't do my research enough and purchased an Undercover UltraFlex. It was bought and installed by a local shop so I can't return it.

I planned to use the side rails to install a rack later on but this cover completely eliminates their availability. I thought it just lowered them. Not sure why they haven't figured out brackets to do that like other companies have.

Nice cover but may not be on the truck for long. Anyone near Pittsburgh that wants a good deal on a new tonneau cover

 

How much does it cost? is it 100% waterproof? I know some of the other covers have water problems. If this one is actually waterproof it might not be a bad trade off.

 

It's supposed to be "mostly waterproof" but I haven't had it long enough to notice. I also have a bed mat so that may hide water that is getting in.

The more I look at it, most low-profile covers utilize the rails. Oddly enough, Undercover and Bakflip are owned by the same company. The Bakflip has brackets that lower the rails so you can still use them. But they won't release the bracket to be used by Undercover. Maybe I can get my hands on the brackets.....
