Man, if honda made the front look better, i think we would see way more ridgelines on the road.

It is a good "truck" if you only drive around the city and need the box for hauling shit.

It's sad that GM and Ford had to copy Tacoma with the body line on the rear door. If your designers are that devoid of imagination, it's time to find new ones.

That being said, I have considered a new Colorado or Canyon simply because of the 2.8 diesel.

I loved my 2007 ranger, never let me down and was built like a tank.

Just read that Ford is redesigning the new Ranger already. That design has been out for years in Australia. I drove several of them while working at a Ford dealership. Service manager said Ill want to get rid of my 17 Tacoma and get one of them. Still got the Tacoma.
The Ranger was difficult to reach into the bed from the sides. The interior is cramped and Ford has that junk ECO Boost 4 cylinder in all of them that they keep having to replace in the Escapes. At the time I did not see one under $40000.
Dealers don't want them either. They have a cash cow with the F150s and the Rangers just take up lot space and sit there. The F150 never impressed me either. I liked when you shut the doors the door skins shake. Its a truck and it is flimsy. Also here in Ohio I just saw a new aluminum body F150 driving around with the rear bumper already rusting. Stick with your Tacomas.

I drove a 2007 Ranger at work for a few years. Reliable truck, but the worst off-road 4WD I ever drove. Even with the “FX4” package it was terrible. The combination of the rigid frame and the low traction torsion arm front suspension had the thing lifting wheels and spinning tires all the time. I had it on some pretty gnarly roads when my work took me up to various microwave towers, and it was pretty bad. Tacoma is much superior off road.

The next generation 2021 F150 is making its debut next year. Full size pickups are a cash cow for The Big 3.

Tesla just tossed a grenade in on that market. Should be interesting to see how the Big 3 respond to the new Cybertruck.... In fact I think the entire truck landscape might change dramatically within 10 years.

They all have their target crowds. I would never buy an electric truck. I actually use mine for pulling things and if the Tacoma won’t pull it on the 6’x12’ trailer I hook the gooseneck to the Duramax. An electric truck has no place in my life, but to the city person who wants to say they own a truck, electric may be for them.

The next generation V6 turbo 2021 Tundra, with a hybrid option, is going to debut next year as well if rumors are true.

I noticed that on my buddy's F150. Several times. I'd be pissed if I owned one. I saw one going down the road and the left rear lower quarter panel was vibrating, oscillating about an inch.

The Big 3 still think inside the box and have conservative leadership. Tesla is the 1st to think outside of it.

Meh, when I bought my Tacoma, I didn't buy it because it was the best selling truck. I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

I would prefer that it wasn't the best selling truck. Let Ford sell more trucks. Who cares? This shouldn't be a popularity contest, but Toyota was smart enough to realize in the mid 2000's that it is indeed a popularity contest. Now they're winning it. So... yay?

I looked at and drove three used f-150s before finding the Tacoma I have now. They felt cheap inside.

It actually will if they match the claimed performance. You’ll just be stopping a lot more often to charge up.

I’ll have to see it to believe it and yes that will be the downside to them, charging.
