I’ve been in the workshop hours after shutting it down and heard it then as well. Like a little whirring sound, a bit high to mid pitched, lasts one second-ish.

The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
Bought a ‘15 a couple of weeks ago. I’ve had an ‘04 for 8 years and have started building it up, so the 2nd gen was the only realistic daily driver for me. I’m guessing that the guy who had it prior to me sprayed a can of rubber undercoating over everything visible from a quick look underneath right before he traded it in. Didn’t prep anything, sprayed right over the rust, dirt, road grime, etc... I’ve spent the last weekish scraping that stuff off. Looks like it spent some time in the salt, but is pretty straight. The alignment was also off and the tires were shot when I bought it. I decided to replace all of the bushings in the front end with poly bushings from energy suspension before I get it aligned. I am going to throw my old tires from my 1st gen on it since I just put 33’s on my 1st gen. I’ve got the driver side all ready for paint, bushings in the steering rack, etc. I bought a quart of chassis saver to check it out. I’m going to probably end up painting the control arms tomorrow. Has anyone used this stuff? I was sold on it over por15 when I bought it, but want to make sure I’m not going to put on a junk product.

got tired of sandbags for winter traction weight sliding around and being in the way of loading things in the bed, so I made a flat box full of sand with "legs" that straddle the wheel wells so the weight stays put right over the axle

My 2007 is finally coming together. Feels like a brand new truck. Started with the Elka suspension from Headstrong Off-road (thank you Marie) that I snagged during a group buy. I went with the FN FX Pro wheels mounted up on Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Dustin was super helpful and I am really pleased with the rims. I did a ton of research on tires and went back and forth between 255/80R17 and the 285/70R17. Went 285 and so far I’m pretty happy.

I really questioned myself for not going with the bronze/copper. I’m pretty happy with my choice!

    Got this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123016061899

    and this: installed this week.

Both Items were on sale Black Friday. Both items could be installed in your sleep. I highly recommend Bob’s Mirrors. Temp is real accurate. When truck is first turned on, temp flashes ICE then temp for about 1st minute. I think this is for 37*F and below. Temp sensor is mounted on front center vertical bracket in front of condenser using a SS bolt in existing hole next to horn wiring connector.

Do I still have the Taco lean? Yeah, but not as bad. Can’t find level location right now and gas tank is full.

i trimmed 1.5" off of all of my mudflaps. i already trimmer 3" off the front, but felt i would need additional clearance for any piles of snow i plan to be driving over this winter.
