Well FML... Shop just called back. Apparently my flanges need a recess in them for the gasket, that's why the original exhaust shop years ago reused my factory y-pipe flanges to mate to the URD equal lengths. I'm picking them back up in the morning and going to mill in the recess at work, then take them back to them to finish it up.

 

The y pipe @Roostfactor sells doesn't have a recess and works well. Maybe pick his brain about the gaskets he's using to mate to the urd equal lengths

 

Sucks man, I remember Roost saying he couldn’t find the recessed flanges anywhere and so he provides flat baskets for his flat flanges on the y-pipe.

Appreciate it guys. I was going to check on URDs site to see if they had anything.. but.. that means I'll be out more money and time, which this whole venture has gone way beyond my original plan and schedule. So I'll just make them.. what a PITA this whole thing has been.

 

I have long time childhood friends coming in from out of town this weekwnd and was really wanting to have the truck back. I'll do whatever I can to get it out of there tomorrow.. it's been 2 months.

I've already been looking at em on Amazon. I could just have them weld on the flanges and I'll order those and install Saturday. Lol. Thanks Prime.

Unless you fine gentleman suggest I go about doing it the other way and just match the flanges.

I used the cut yourself Remflex gaskets to mate my cats together. Worked pretty well. Couldn’t find any gaskets to match the giant 3 bolt flanges my headers used.

Yes sir they will work, they're like an 1/8" thick and crush 50%. Ive reused them before and they still work great. They're the bees knees
