Closer to you is Source Hose and Tube, in Pacheco. Used him many times for big hydraulic work on power units, and big boat stuff. But he also does great brake lines. Just a husband and wife team, but quality work.

Thank you! Didn’t know about them. I’ve used Royal Brass many times in the past when I used to live over on the peninsula. Pacheco is super close. Right on.

I have one these. Got it for about $90 on a lighting deal. Seems to work fine.

Anyone recommend a decent, cheaper-end jack? Mine was stolen last night and although I liked it, I can't remember who made it.

What kind of jack did you have?
A friend of mine bought a Land Cruiser jack. It's just like the jack that comes with the taco but it's a good 3-4 inches taller when extended.
You can find them on ebay for around $75.

Should have clarified... it was a 3 ton floor jack. I got it from a family member a few years ago and there was never really much of a label as to the brand name, but it was nice. I was looking at the Harbor Freight shit this morning, but was curious if it was anything worth a crap as I have never purchased anything more than gloves and oil catchers from them. I'll keep a look out for those LC jacks as well.... may fit the bill perfect for me.

That sucks. I’ve heard good things about the harbor freight floor jacks

I have a craftsman and it needs to be bled all the time or the truck drops like a rock...

I've had a Husky 3 ton from Home Depot for the last 8 years and never had an issue. Otherwise the HF jacks get great reviews and there is a 25% coupon floating around right now.

I use the Daytona from harbor and love it. It’s a low pro with I think 23” of lift. Works great! great control for lowering and no bleed off issues
