That’s cool he let you ride. When I think of New York I don’t think about deer hunting or farming. I realize it’s there, I’ve never been to the state though. Hope you find your horns!

You can tell it’s a fake though. The body is too small for the horns and the horns are too white
Probably a warden hiding in the bushes just waiting on somebody to shoot :D

Speaking of the sheds. The condition of them is vey interesting. We found them in April on my friend 10,000 acre south Texas ranch. Very smooth and unweathered.

I’ve only seen Texas deer on tv, aren’t they usually very dark? I’m surprised you found them that late too, I’ve rarely found any around here.

I missed my chance to get my trapping license. Would love to get a bobcat or a coon.

I could just go sit over there and wait for my phone to go off and then spot light the feeder and pop a coon...

    Very cool...and very nicely put.

What the very vocal and generally completely ignorant vegematics/SJWs/etc - and even so many supportive non-hunters (spouses and family, p'raps?) - never understand is indeed that very connection betwixt a hunter and his/her prey...the admiration one feels for the animal, the respect...the honour that it is to actually take an animal in the wild, and the humility that comes with the act...knowing that by just going hunting, one is doing what so few people in North America (I'm shamelessly lumping Americans and Canadians together here) ever get to experience...and then winning the lottery by actually getting to take an animal home to fill the freezer. Tell me that picking a package of steak out of the cooler at your local Piggly Wiggly feels the same....

It really is a mix of strong conflicting emotions when you see the prey drop....

Throw in the fact that hunters are by and far above the strongest arm of any conservation effort....and I would bet that hunters waste far less food than your average supermarket shopper....
