Madison is what I can remember off the top of the noggin.

 

Pretty sure it's around rapidan WMA

 

Rapidan Wildlufe Management area. It’s in Madison and runs over into another co I believe. May not be a good time of year if the bear hunters are still up there running dogs. It’s about 30 minutes from my house. We usually go in up in Syria right before Graves mtn lodge. I haven’t ever explored the whole thing.

They say you need to have a hunting or fishing license to use it or you can buy a day pass somewhere. There’s a nice trout stream and you can camp for free.

 

I'm sure its a shit show during hunting season. I almost has a head on collision with a atv last time I went up during bear season. Pretty sure atvs are not legal on wmas anyway.

 

They don’t care they run them all over those mtns. I have tried to warn others on here about going up there this time of year but have at it.

 

I had the ATV issue several times up at PMR

All good. I work the 24th anyway but this gives me something new to run during warmer weather.

 

If anybody can get a hold of @Juice98 hed be a good one to meet up with he lives right in Madison and has been up there alot

 

You want to go up sometime in the Spring let me know I’d like to adventure up there some more myself.
