i test drove a new silver Corolla (non hatchback) with an MT and 30 miles on it while waiting
they were going to make me a good deal on it since they cannot seem to get rid of the only MT they had on the lot
unfortunately there is not enough headroom for me to get into the little car

the hatchback i have just barely enough headroom
they had a nice looking redish orange one but it was an automatic
a dealer loaner car with 3k miles they were very interested in getting rid of i think

Perfect! Tips and tricks for camping or hotel's at the top of the trail? Figured it would be fun to start at the top, work our way down and head to Dubuque at the end of the day for dinner and maybe stay the night there before heading back to the QCA and make an entire day out of it.

@Shellshock - Do you have a premium membership to Gaia ? I think $40 sounds worth it for a year to find out if I like it or not. I really do plan on doing some camping and offroading throughout the spring, summer and fall.

I camped at Wyalusing state park when we all ran the trail last summer. It's a very nice park overlooking the Mississippi River.

If you're talking about spring, I'd love to repeat the spring trip we did last year! We met at Potosi brewery for lunch and a beer and hit the T.W.A.T afterwards.

I might like to reverse this and start at Lansing and wind up at Potosi brewery, camping at Wyalusing afterwards.

Either way, I'm going to plan on a mid-April trip out that way.

Looking forward to seeing everyone after the winter doldrums. Of course, there's still the possibility of a mid winter run. I'm just not sure of the best destination.

    Ideas???

My wife and I, maybe my daughter, are for sure down for a spring trip. I would prefer coming south because coming home would be simpler for us. However I am totally willing to compromise! Majority rules. Plus this would be our first time so we would essentially be along for the ride.

I may also be down for something in the winter depending on when and where.

are there any body repair shops in the Des Moines or surrounding area that you would trust with your truck?
.. need repairs done in the bed area, and its a very tight spot in the arch
i like what this Cars and Coffee has to say, where would they recommend i go for trusted work?
trust is a key factor that i have near totally lost confidence as of late with local shops here in NE ... at least 3 places have not done proper work

    https://www.carsandcoffeedsm.com/show-rules-car-show-des-moines

We are super blessed to have permission from REI, Caribou Coffee, Container Store, Kum & Go and HURD Properties for the use of their private parking lot. For that reason, we have the following rules for the 2019 shows:

    • 1. Without you, there is no Cars & Coffee. Thank you for coming out!

    • 2. We are not a “car club”. If you have a cool car, you’re invited.

    • 3. This is a family friendly environment. We welcome everyone with respect and kindness.

    • 4. Treat everyone’s car as if it’s a $1.5M Bugatti sitting behind a velvet rope. To the owner of that car, it is one.

    • 5. We are all here as a courtesy of business owners, they have granted us permission to use their private parking lot for us to gather.

    • 6. Looking to do a burn-out or revving contest? Please do so elsewhere.

    • 7. The founders of Cars & Coffee have the final say as to your behavior affecting your permission to come back.

    • 8. Pick up after yourselves. Leave no trash behind.

    • 9. Without you, there is no Cars & Coffee. Thank you for coming out!

Whenever you wanna go, I’m sure there would be at least a couple other people interested in going. I’ve gone 3 times now along with some others. It’s a fun day
