Look at Negative Nancy over here......

J/K - I am literally down for whatever. I just want some seat time on some beginner trails to start getting experience! Would rather keep it close enough to do a weekend trip as I don't have a tone of vacation to burn at the moment.

Yeah... there are only a few good places on the TWAT. Ready for some new ideas. Close to that area. Just saying...

Totally understandable. Like I said, I'm down for whatever. Just want that seat time.

If you want to do some solid trails come down to St. Louis for a weekend. We’ll take you to moonlight off road park.

    thanks,
there are still two places i am going to check here in Omaha, one is a TW referral
i spent a huge amount of time to remove my fender liners, over 1/2 hour in each wheel well, i hate to snap them back up and go through all of this again taking them off
here are some pix of what i found

    IMG_0004.jpg

i have not figured out how to remove that top clip yet

    IMG_0005.jpg

    IMG_0003.jpg
this spot has been festering behind the liners and arch mouldings for who knows how long!
i tried to clean most of the rust off with the touchup paint pen scraper tip and then dabbed some paint on it
no idea how long that will hold up

right now i just sprayed magnetic corrosion free gel all over, sticks like a magnet!

i gotta think this is a relatively easy thing to fix, just in a real tight spot up there!

the bed needs to come off sometime next spring or summer for DIY frame mod
i feel so disorganized anymore trying to maintain and upkeep this old truck

I'm in for that as well. Not trying to get into anything to gnarly until I get to know the truck better, but I am certainly down for some action. I'd like to hit the trail(s) at least a half a dozen times this coming year. Hopefully more. The more variety the better in my opinion. Still trying to plan my first moves aside from wheels/tires, mud flaps and a bed cover.

Tires and mudflaps are good and bed covers are handy. Honestly don’t need anything more than that to tackle anything around the Midwest. Spend the money on fuel and experiences! I’ve been all over the country in my near stock TRD OR Tacoma

I just want my truck to be functional. I'm not looking to run 35" tires and go rock crawling. I think the only other thing I even want aside from those things is maybe a low-profile style winch bumper and a winch for those times I found myself out on the trail solo and need to self recover. Maybe some type of "grip boards" as well. I don't think I want to invest in maxtrax just yet but I was thinking about picking up a couple sets of X-Bull traction boards. Not sure investing $325+ in maxtrax is worth it for as much wheeling as I'll be doing.

I have no winch, I spent my money on maxtrax and a shovel. They work very well and I’ve never seen one break unlike the other traction boards out there. Definitely a buy once thing IMO

I love maxtrax. You want maxtrax. I don’t see the problem.
